Re: OT- The Last Dance documentary
it's kind of a silly thing to even be surprised about. if MJ was DPOY, MVP was pretty much automatic

I don't hold it against them though. There are a lot of things young players don't know or appreciate. Its like getting in arguments with people that have never seen MJ play. But want to call someone else the GOAT. I usually just laugh and tell them they have no idea.

to be fair, trae young wasn't born when MJ was wearing a bulls uniform. it'd be like expecting larry johnson to know the intimate details of bill russell's resume

Lebron would’ve tried to join MJ if his teams had do go face those Pacers, Knicks, Pistons, Cavs, Celtics...

I used to watch Steve Nash go through stretching exercises for like 45 minutes before every game it was insane... the guy never got hurt. With all of today's sports medicine and Technology something as simple as that can make such a difference.

Laimbeer was a dick, but Isiah is just such a little dirtbag. Not just as a player on the Pistons but as an exec with the Knicks and all the sexual harassment stuff just leaves a bad taste. Great player, bad guy.

Laimbeer is extraordinary in his natural ability to be an *sshole.
To this day he goes out of his way to put down and downplay the Bulls and Jordan.
Hate when ESPN brings him on to talk Bulls/Jordan. His bias makes the interviews completely worthless.

Gotta say, a new EVP and the Last Dance....

If you remember, Derrick Rose said recently that back before he tore his ACL, he hardly ever stretched out, but that now he has a full regimen and does a lot of stretching. I'm sure it's one of the things that has helped him come back strong and healthy after everything.

Always liked Dantley, really liked Dumars, Vinnie the microwave was fun... had a healthy respect for Mahorn and Rodman.
But yeah, Isiah and Laimbeer, screw those guys.

My favorite part about the episodes tonight was when Rodman is casually pounding down a beer in Vegas with a camera in his face, and then proceeds to hop on a motorcycle without a helmet and drive off into the night like it's nothing.

I think you mean that Lebron just joined the competition, instead of beating them, because he couldn't beat them. What Jordan did to climb the mountain and get past Detroit was something of true legend. He didn't ask to be traded to the Celtics in 1986 or the Pistons a few years later. No... he wanted to beat, not join them.
I don't like comparing era's but I don't think a lot of today's players would be able to handle the physicality and mental game that was played back then. I don't think the competition is "better" now. They are just younger and more athletic, but today's game has devolved into something less, IMO. Also, today the kids have better PED's and more advanced training. Somehow, the game has gotten less entertaining to me, anyway. Now, there are so many really young players that just lack fundamentals, back then, there weren't nearly the number of kids under 21 in team's rotations.
