GTJ delaying payment a yr & Bobby signing a multi-yr MLE-equivalent he could have gotten a bunch of places, are further indicators it's known internally Giannis is staying. Not that we needed more evidence, but there it is.

Ironically, the nat'l media thinks it hurts the Bucks' chances even further they re-signed players Giannis likes, believes in, and the lineup data backs up there's plenty of reason to.

Shams and national media just looking for clicks with Giannis. Now they’ve latched onto LeBron, so it’s not just us.

Here’s how I feel

Giannis remains the gift that keeps on giving. How many "team friendly" deals is "wizard" Horst able to facilitate in Milwaukee, WI USA without having the trump card of the world's most likable, hardest working NBA superstar?

We are one “home run” trade or signing from being in the mix to get to the eastern conference finals. Do some magic, Horst.

Nehm or Jim O will write a piece once all the major moves have been done talking about the pitch/plan and how they've fulfilled it, and the savvier (read: literate) national media types will pick up on it, but I doubt you'll see any national reporting on what they'll eventually call a "gutsy bet" (even though it's the path that should be clear to any rational observer) until the Bucks go 10-3 in the first month of the season (Pina: Nobody Saw These Bucks Coming; Hardball Paroxysm: How Milwaukee Bucked the Inevitable).

Practicing for my interview with ESPN -

Giannis was spotted wearing a Steph Curry jersey on the beach holding his son. Trade to Golden State is imminent.

Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce Jackson-Davis and a 2082 lottery protected 1st for Giannis makes sense for both sides. Bucks do right by Giannis and start to prepare for their future.

I don’t care if you’re a champion, finals MVP, multiple time league MVP, MiP, Dpoy, 1st all nba for a decade. If you can’t do more then you’ve wasted your whole career.

Giannis is closely monitoring the 2046 2nd round pick, it could make or break his future with Milwaukee.

If the Bucks resign all their top free agents for below market deals then they’ve ruined their offseason and Giannis is going to be tempted to leave Milwaukee.

Did I get the job?

What's the underachieving thing about?

The last person in the nba that can be called an underachiever is giannis.

Stephen A said Giannis needs another ring or he’ll have underachieved for his career.

Stephen called him that while playing solitaire during an NBA finals game he was watching.

He's says a lot of dumb things, might be one of his most idiotic statements.

A kid wiping down a dirty gym floor before was good enough to play, sharing shoes with his brother, an undocumented immigrant minor hawking stuff on the street so his family had food to eat.... Has underachieved?

Wow. I don't understand why anyone would listen to him.

How excited we were to see him play in Summer League. Pretty sure the majority of us saw the potential tied into the story. But the story turned out soo much better than any of us dreamed.

Giannis is the best example of what adding bulk and strength to your body can actually do to your shot mechanics. He was so smooth on that jumper when he was just a tall lanky athlete. Then over time he turned into the Incredible Hulk and he lost his smooth release and touch on his jumper. Maybe in hindsight it was a pick your poison situation and we bash Kidd for “ruining” his shot. Kidd probably deserves more credit for realizing that the right path was the direction of player trajectory that made the most sense. Look at the situation today, it’s fair to say turning him into a more versatile version of Shaq turned out better than trying to turn him into a bulkier version of Kevin Durant like we all clamored for for years. A strong, physical and bulky version of KD likely never exists. I’m just grateful I got to experience watching Giannis as a Buck these last 12 years, he’s been nothing short of a revelation for me. Never leave, Giannis. Never leave.

I am not sure it was the bulking. I remember they specifically mentioned they were going to change/improve his mechanics but they tried to do it without getting a top shot doctor. Then he changed shot doctor again. So from that point it just seems he tries to think how to shoot.
