What do you guys think?

That's way too much for G.S. to pay to get Howard, and not enough for the Cavaliers to pay to get Bogut.

According to Sam Amico: Cavs also said to be eyeing Mavericks PG Darren Collison.

So I totaly agree that Cavs need another ballhandler. Darren Collison can very good option for Cavs can defend, pass and shoot. After bad season in Dallas his contract demands won't be very high.

For the money why not just keep Livingston?

I think Livingston wants a chance to to play in some meaningful games. But I would actually love to keep him if we could.

Collision is a terrible point guard. Pass.

Is he a terrible back up PG?

Depends on the options I guess. If we have none I guess not.

Here's a problem, he doesn't think he's a backup, and thinks he's just being held back from his rightful starting spot. He's also a poor defender and was a poor teammate and locker room issue in Indy. Average at best ball handler and passed. Above average shooter. However, he won't fit the team model you'll want and he may still try and butt heads with Kyrie.

Stick with Livingston. You'll be better off. Or find someone else. Collison just isn't a guy you'll want until his bubble is completely burst and he comes to grips with what he could be. A very solid backup pg. he's likely a few years from that realization, though.

Hope Livingston resigns. If he goes I wish him the best. (Unless he goes to Miami :-)) I'm still shocked we did not offer Ellinngton a QO. Maybe Livingston who plays Dee is on Brown's radar. Doubt it but why not pay that guy 4 to 5 million. We paid Boobie 4.1 and he only shot 3's for a few minutes a game.

You have to think something might be up......there is going to be a few deals available once the first or second major deal goes down. Grant getting in position to steal someone when the chips fall??

Assuming Dwight to GSW:

LAL Out: Dwight/Gasol
LAL In: Varejao/Tristan/Bogut/Sac 1st

CLE Out: Varejao/Tristan/Sac 1st
CLE In: Klay Thompson/Pau Gasol

GSW Out: Klay/Bogut
GSW In: Dwight

Don't think we have to give up so much. Gasol shouldn't be viewed as an asset imo. His play / contract ratio is a liability to the lakers now.

I always error on the side of overpay somewhat.....I would like Klay at the 3. Took a client to the GSW game where he dropped 30

To elaborate on the overpay or thought this is an overpay - if we do not add value - the Lakers just take Klay for themselves. The reason they take Tristan/picks instead of Klay is because we also take on Gasol - something that GSW wont do.

Post#678 » by GSForever » Wed Jul 3, 2013 11:10 pm

Would you guys be interested in Bogut, Klay or Barnes amd AB so we could have the space to sign Dwight. Hell I'll even throw in 2 first round picks to complete the trade
