I think we're in good hands. Shiiii, I just watched the moon blot out the sun and we didn't all die. Surely that was a good omen for the Hawks to set on a path to a rang.
Queue hawks racist outburst, dui, drug bust, or nypd take down in 3,2.....

You don't get an assist in Europe unless a pass directly leads to a layup or shot in .5 seconds from a single continuous move. It's unlike the NBA where a guy can do 3 dribbles, 4 steps, a pump fake and a turnaround jumper after receiving a pass yet the passer still gets credited with the assist. Teodosic was considered the best PG in Europe and is a magician level passer yet still clocked under 6 assists per game, he's likely to match that even coming off the bench in lower minutes for the Clippers this season.

It seems pretty obvious your Hawks are on the verge of a complete rebuild. As long as they do things right, they should be able to turn things around rather quickly.
Could they be the worst team in the league next year?
Big questions going into this season:
1. Can DeWayne Dedmon play himself into a bigger contract?
2. Will Dennis Schroder be the PG of the future?
3. Does Kent Bazemore have a bounce back in him?
4. Can the Hawks land the #1 overall pick?
Have a read of my take on what new GM Schlenk should do and let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for making that distinction. Many times things like that get lost when we view stat lines. It comes up a lot during the draft.
On another note, tell ya boy Dolf 'n the fam to hang in there down in H-town. Hey, I'm not a monster.

Lol...Oh that's right Dolf is H town. Hoping for a quick recovery from a devasting tragedy as I actually lived in Houston for 5 years myself back in the early 80's.
Back on topic...I'm not sure if the NBA is confused on the definition of an assist or is FIBA incorrect? I always thought an assist meant when a basket is made off a pass and the player receiving the pass is in scoring motion. (As much as the Jazz stat keeper was full of crap from 1984-2002...I digress..)
Now, it seems that any pass even not immediately resulting in a field goal is counted as an assist. Just to test this I tried it in 2k. I inbounded the ball with John Collins and passed to Dennis who went all the way in for a layup and Collins got the assist....94 feet....:-|
Would this be the case in a real game? Collins would get an assist for a pass off a made layup 94 feet later? If so, then it's bs in my opinion because I don't think that's how it was in the 80's and the earlier days...We might see the Scott Skiles 30 dime record game fall this year.
