good for him. he never looked comfortable or having fun on the court as a Cav.

with championship or bust pressure gone, and as a No.1 option, he can probably play a little better and play his game.

LIke others have said, it’s exactly like the Bosh contract. Cavs had a chance to trade and rebuild, but they want to compete for a playoff spot.

At least they aren’t sending in the tanks for the next few years. Gotta give them credit for that.

Any star with a little bit of leverage nowadays is getting 30 mil, that's how it is. Hayward, Lowry, CP, Love, PG, BG... Little separation in pay between them and the top 5. Parity in the league will be hard until CBA see's franchise tag like changes

Kyrie/Butler might be seeing near that too

Wouldn't give any of those guys that money unless I had to

Should be interesting to see what happens to the 76ers when they have to have 2 max salary players on the payroll. It’s hard to have a well rounded team when anywhere from 60-70% of your salary is locked on 2 players. Increasing individual salaries might actually be the hidden trick to dismantling super teams.
