We need to get Siakam a running mate this offseason.

Yeah, but it didn't really matter because Team Giannis was already up by about 15 points, so it was a cake walk for them to get to the target score. And so it basically devolved into Tatum, Mitchell, and Lillard jacking up 3s until enough of them went down to get to that score.

wtf happened to the all star game seriously? look at this, still rebounding, contesting shots, setting picks... why can't it at least be this competitive.

Worst All-Star weekend in recent memory, it feels like the MLB has the last remaining legit All-Star weekend in pro sports. They just do it properly with the game and derby, the NBA feels like its targeted for 10 year olds.

Yup it was always real basketball, without ultra physical play, until early in the 2000s it changed.

The players should've been booed for that bs ASG.

We've legit seen Rico runs played with more intensity. The whole mentality is just wrong/weak. Guys should be playing each other like the ol' skool Dream Team practises going at each other (obv within reason, not Playoff level ball lol) but at least looking to COMPETE & show whatever team they're on is the better one.

I'm not sure how the league can fix the problem but that was damn worthy of handing out fines lol just a complete waste of everybody's time/resources etc. Enough with this spoiled diva treatment. The players are gonna pay for a lot of this stuff when the next CBA negotiations roll around. My only minor unconventional way to try & help out is to ask the legends of yesteryear (MJ, Magic, Bird, Shaq etc) speak to these guys before the games and the importance of playing competitive games for the fans but also just even having a sense of pride as the "best players in the world" competing against each other but they have to stop this asap.

I haven’t watched in a while but I thought the intensity was back after the game Lowry was taking like 5 charges in a close game
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

lebron suddenly tried extra hard to block Siakam too, but ended up injuring his finger and getting taken out the game

I can’t recall a worse all-star game than the one we unfortunately witnessed yesterday. Perhaps worse than the non-existent defence, was watching Tatum, Donovan, Brown, Dame, etc. incessantly ball-hog and freeze everyone else out. I don’t know how they would fix it (1-on-1 tournament?), but I would much rather watch Rico Hines summer runs videos than a replay of that farce.

4 teams. 4 team captains, kind of like the rookie game.

Should have more competition with this format

Put a SIGNIFICANT amount of money on the line.

Making an all star game should be like a $1M payday, and winning the ASG should be another couple million.

Every team decrease their cap by $1-2M and pay it out in the ASG. Easy.

But to do that they would have to have a better system for voting people in.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.
