There's a reason why Utah who is trying to rebuild and trade Lauri want to give up on a young center like him. I'm not giving up any first.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
If we're giving up a 1st for a big I want one that can stretch the floor. Wendell Carter is who I'd target. He shoots 3's at a decent volume and hits them at 37%. The Magic play Isaac, Goga, and Wagner at the 5 as well. They can afford to trade him.

Can't fathom Magic wanting to move WCJ.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
is beef stew available at all now from Detroit?
we're probably just going to grab something from the trash heap.
my break glass in case of emergency guy is Biz, mainly because of his great character and professionalism.
For a person with limited skills Biz has really maximised his abilities to keep getting paid.

I cracked the code years ago. MasterIchirio is none other than Rich Cho.
MasterIchrio = masterichiro = masteRICHirO = Rich Cho
Its an established fact at this point and you can get an infraction from the mods for spreading disinformation if you suggest MasterIchiro's identity is anyone other than Rich Cho.

We need to hire Shoresy as coach to teach Lamelo how to play through injury.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Unless it comes with Jericho Sims, I can't see us adding yet another PG while whittling our C rotation down to 1.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
It would be great if we could acquire another big to replace Richards. We could move him for value then.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Once again Richards is fine in Charlotte as a backup center.
He's got value as a backup. Keep him we had a good center rotation when both Mark and Richards are healthy together.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Does beg the question - would you do a Nick and Reggie for Miles and Jericho swap? I’d be tempted. Miles is a high upside guy that plays defense and what we’d lose in FT% with Nick we’d make up for with intensity from Sims. Would still have us in the market for a third center…

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
I dont know why we would be interested in trading Nick if we are not getting another C elsewhere. Like, if we get Kessler, sure trade Nick. Otherwise, we are thinning out our weakest spot.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Translation: Knicks want to trade us another PG for our only healthy center.
I'll pass on that easily.

No, Sims only played 13 minutes per game and averaged 2pts and 3rbs. Nick is better than he is.
I get upgrading Nick to someone who is a better starter for when/if Mark is hurt again, but trading him for someone the same level or worse doesn't make sense.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
I thought Sims was a young raw prospect... He's going to be 26 at the start of the regular season lol, I'll pass on him.
I do think at this point we need to trade for someone capable of playing 25 + minutes. Once we do that, I'll trade Nick for basically anything but not absolutely nothing.

I like Mcbride but damn how many guards can ww squeeze on to one roster. Not to mention he would have 1 center and Marks health is far from a guarantee.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
If the Knicks need Nick Richards bad enough that they're offering McBride, we should be working overtime trading Micic, Reggie, or Mann for a C2 better than Nick. We have plenty of draft capital, 1st and second round. I'm very surprised if Ainge won't take McBride for Kessler. McBride is such a great defender and really blossomed as a spacer recently. He's similar to Josh Green but can really handle the ball.
