Assuming you mean last night, yeah that really was great. I want to rewatch it today when I get the chance. It reminded me of WHC championship run Daniel Bryan, couldn't take my eyes off him.

Joe Hennig is just so average and non-descript to me. I'm not sure why they're so high in him. There are better talents in the minors right now, not to mention blue-chippers like Cesaro who are languishing on the main roster without direction.
I guess I should be happy it wasn't Bo Dallas. I guess there's that. Anything but Bo Dallas.

Re: WWE TV Thread: 10 Time Royal Rumble entrant Rikishi
When I read that Heyman was introducing his next client last night, the first thing that came to mind was RVD. I quickly dismissed that because RVD is old and no one would really care that much. Then I was thinking about NXT guys and thought about 3 people, Bray Wyatt, Corey Graves and McGillicutty. I dismissed Wyatt because he's got his own angle already and it doesn't need Heyman's involvement. Graves would make sense but I feel like he sort of looks too much like Punk (with all the tattoos and what not). Then I thought McGillicutty very randomly because I know they're high on him and it seems like they've been itching to get him involved in something bigger. He's always wrestling main roster guys when they come to NXT and he has the pedigree to turn a shot into something big.
I love that they tweaked his dad's theme and made that his new theme. It sounds really cool. Personally, I like the move and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with it. I didn't finish RAW yet, so I still haven't seen the whole reveal. I saw up to the point where Heyman says "this is the same reaction you people had when I introduced Brock Lesnar in 2002". I'll be catching up on my lunch break.

Hats off to you then. I'm a big NXT fan, and the idea of Heyman's client being McGillicutty completely evaded me.

I honestly have no idea why he came to mind, but I felt pretty damn smart once I saw it was him

Having slept on it, I've came to the realization that what I was saying last night was foolish and there is no way Trips' injury was legit. Having said that, this was an incredibly stupid way to end the show and I don't know where they are going with this story but I don't know how it could possibly be good.

Dunthreevy, why didn't Ohno come to mind? If there was an NXT guy to debut he seemed like the guy. He was feuding with Regal in NXT which is like the heel graduate course there, he's tight with Punk and I think his persona and look fit a little better with Heyman than Axel.

Not real sure why my brain works the way it does, lol. I know Oh No and Punk have history but he's really got a pretty crappy look, specifically with the body type. It has improved but it's not great. His body looks like Edge's looked towards the end of his career. I honestly can't see WWE ever putting a new character on either of the 2 big tv shows with a body like that.

I definitely thought they'd go with a younger guy if it was someone completely unestablished. Hennig is pretty much the same age as Punk and Lesnar.

Ohno would've made a lot of sense and would fit the mold and it wouldnt surprise me if his body is whats holding him back for now. He came in looking pretty skinny and then started putting on weight to the point where he was actually somewhat chunky. I'm guessing the plan is to turn that into muscle but unless there's been huge changes recently that hasn't happened yet.

But then again, so are Ohno and Cesaro.

Re: WWE TV Thread: 10 Time Royal Rumble entrant Rikishi
Finished RAW and I can't decide how I feel about the finish. In theory, the finish could have been good. The execution is what I wasn't really a fan of. Triple H really REALLY over-sold it to the point that it became unbelievable. I don't mind that they kinda buried Curtis Axel (that's going to take some getting used to), because of the opponent. At least it was Triple H burying him and not some fringe main eventer like Del Rio or Orton. Axel even got in a good amount of offense during the match. The only thing I didn't really like was Triple H bitch slapping him and Axel staying down. It would have looked so much stronger to have Axel stumble back, shake it off, then go after Triple H only to have Heyman stop him and tell him to wait.

^^^ If they really wanted to sell it what they should've done is have HHH slap him and Axel get up and say 'I dare you to slap me again' and Heyman pulls him back then HHH announces the match for tonight.
I still can't figure out where this is going and in this instance I don't think that's a good thing.

At least the smarks wont start chanting his old name, cause they prob can't pronounce it. And even if they could, chanting "MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY"! just sounds dumb. Although with his new name, I see him eventually overtaking Heath Slater as frontman for 3MB.

It's to bad Curtis Axel doesn't have an ounce of the Charisma his father had. I want to like him and even with Heyman being his mouthpiece he's still just meh to me. He's more suited for being in a tag-team then singles wrestler IMO.

Am I the only person who thinks JBL is an awful commentator? I know he is trying to fill that Bobby Heenan instigator role, but he just says the same things over and over until they are beaten into the ground. I swear if he says "It's their yard" one more time about The Shield, I am going to punt my cat out the window.

I don't care too much for him. When they first brought him in for the 3-man announce team I thought he was ok, but like you said he's very repetitive and you can tell when he's reading his script. When he's going off the cuff and giving Cole crap I like him.

Yep. I remember that one week when I found that stream with crowd noise, but no commentary. It was amazing.
