U guys think since the league is so fearful of Miami get a decent center maybe getting pf would be ideal. Throw the scent off and get the next need. Lavoy Allen from sixers by any chance philly does that for joel and etc?

We could probably get him if we wanted but he's not good enough to get any playing time here..

Hawes is a better option if we're talking with Philly.

Asik for shot blocking Joel Anthony and all-around perennial Shane Battier - maybe?

Rockets consider themselfs contenders, they would'nt give us the Center we need even if we had the assets. And we don't even have the assets required. not even close.

Maybe it's time to help Philly get this tanking thing right! Offer them Joel & Rashard possibly along with their pick back for Spencer Hawes.

So Justin Hamilton just had a 26 points 19 rebounds game for our Dleague team. Hit 4 3's too. usually Dleague stats don't mean much, but still..7 footer.

My guess is..another Dleague team. Prime Shaq was probably not guarding him.

Are you sure? I've heard rumors about SHAQ coming out of retirement. Anything is possible.

Anyways, it looks like Hamilton came up big late in the 4th, dropping three straight kabooms to put SF up by four with just over two to play. Most of those rebounds apparently came against Jarvis Varnado of all people, but then again, he's a wiry-framed shotblocker. I want to see what he does against some better rebounders this season down there.

Where in the world is Eric Griffin?

My guess is - he got released because he's not good. GSW aren't idiots. It's Oden/Okafor or bust for this year. Maybe Hawes if we're willing to trade and give up future assets.

LOL Okafor has a herinated disc and Oden got shot knees...

So gamble on two totally injured players that are probably not to play this year?

And who the Heat gonna give up for Spencer Hawes to benefit the Sixers? And he is a crappy defender anyway.

Dewayne Dedmon got released because GSW got Ezeli coming back and they already have Jermaine O'Neal and they have Marreese Speights

Dewayne Dedmon would be fine a C to just run around and block shots and he's 7 foot 7'4 wingspan and 255 pounds with nice run and jump athleticism and a knack for rebounding.

J. Hamilton with 31 points on 22 shots, 13 rebounds (7 offensive) and an overtime win for Skyforce.

Maybe he could become a decent backup for us one day? :dontknow: a 7 footer Center shooting 39% from 3..

...In an interview before the team left to board a plane for Friday night's game in Oklahoma City, Gasol made clear what he usually only intimates. He said he believes his poor play is a result of his poor usage in D'Antoni's system. He said he has come to the conclusion that he just doesn't fit.

"This year hasn't been ideal, certain things are not ideal for me, but that's not going to change any time soon," he said.

So why hasn't it been ideal?

"What do you think?" he said. "I'm not going to say anything, but it's easy to see. You see a guy with a certain skill set, where does it fit better, where it doesn't."

When asked about D'Antoni's sometimes pointed criticism of his toughness, Gasol shrugged.

"I don't pay attention. Mike is sometimes all over the place, I don't give much credit to things like that," he said.

When asked if D'Antoni has ever discussed this criticism with him directly, for the first time in the interview, Gasol sounded irked.

"Nope, zero. Nope, zero," he said. "Like I said, it's not ideal, but it is what it is."...

Pau is more than welcome to take a pay cut and come down here where there exists a vibrant Spanish-speaking community. His high IQ play style would enable us to boast a sizeable front line. Could Riley convince Gasol to take a pay cut? Maybe.

Crazier things have happened in recent seasons.

Pau is interesting...he will bring size and rebounding, but what would excite me is the offensive side of the ball. When he is committed he's one of the best low post players in the league, up there as one of the elite passing big me in the game, and he has a pretty consistent midrange jumper off the PnR. He would give the Heat an entirely new offensive dimension.

Unfortunately, his stock is still high enough that LA won't give him up for garbage, and I'm sure someone will throw him a hefty short-term contract Miami wouldn't be able to match.
