If he gets 20 shots each and every night - in the post, stepbacks, put backs, alley oops, 3s (right, Flip?), FTs - how much can he score? Gotta' go for 20+ next year, right? Nobody else on this sorry ass team is more worthy of gettin' shawts than him. This is his team now. Everybody knows it.
I think he can put up around 20 ppg next year. Andrew has improved tremendously throughout the season. If he keeps putting in the work and bulks up a bit, I don't see why he can't get 20ppg
If the Wolves rework the roster to suit his development then we could see Wiggins putting up some really nice numbers next year
That's it? He's already averaging 17 ppg.
I think he could approach 23-25 ppg.

He's averaging 26/6/3 so far in April. Just smashing through the rookie wall.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
At this point the only worrying thing about Wiggins is that he is under contract with Adidas.
They will throw buttloads of money at him to have him on a big market team as early as possible. Hopefully, he'll resist.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
There were moments last night where I was certain that I was watching Kobe posting up. I can't imagine what he'll be doing in 5 years.
Oh, and can anybody post a video of him dunking on 3 lakers? That made me jump out of my seat.

Who was the last SG\SF with this type of post game at only 20 yrs old. Also I think flip has done a good job getting Wiggins to believe he can be unstobable driving at the rim. No other rookie in the league has got this much attention when opposing teams game plan to stop him. It is truly promising to see the skill catching up to the freak althetisum.

Honestly i cant remember on Wing this young having such a good Post Game already.
Even guys that became masters of it MJ/Kobe/Lebron didnt have much post game before their late 20s
Whats leaving me in awe is that we know how unstoppable those post turnarounds and spins are when used properly. just watch MJ or Kobe. And he does that as a 20yo rookie.
Latley he improved his passing drastically.. Honestly i cant even imagine what Andrew can become.

This is what is sticking out for me. He's passing so well out of the double team and showing great patience.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
This is why I think flips done a good job with him. He has really help grow Wiggins game. Wigs is definitely seeing the whole Court better. Its easy enough to jack up 3s its another thing to demand and double team in the post and make the right move\pass. Basketball at this level is a chess game.

This is an interesting article on how the T'Wolves must operate in order for Wiggins to capitalize upon his "A+ ability". The three-ball quote of Flip's is referenced here, as is a detailed breakdown of his successes and failures.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
Good article. To be clear I still think flips done a great job teaching everything without much 3 point development. He seems to allow Wiggins to perfect 1 thing at a time. Next year he definitely needs the three in his development if not then it will be a travesty.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
Wiggins looked gassed to me in the second half last night, Flip should pull back a bit on his minutes the last two games. 166 minutes over 5 days is too much, especially with where this team is at right now.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
Dont think they can rest him much with all the injuries. If the twolves had an affiliate dleague team I'd say we should ask to be granted to call up the entire team to play out the next 2 games. Ha!
We could call the the "replacements" except they'd be replacing replacement players as it is.

What's Dave Benz going to do when he can't refer to Wiggins as the Rock Chalk Rookie anymore? That's one nickname I'm looking forward to going away.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

No kidding. I'm trying to determine if that's worse than the "rise and shine rookies" (Rubio and Williams). I don't even mind the Bounce Brothers moniker compared to those two.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
The Hannyisms were much better than the Benzisms.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
