Will miss Moose's "And oneeeeeeeee's" for sure. Really came to enjoy him the last couple years, so I wish him well.

Solved that mystery. Isaiah Thomas coming to his side in the replies make it all the more funny.

This year. Last year he wasn't per my eye, and that was reinforced by the advanced stats.
How come Malcolm is above Greg in every advanced stat ranking then (this year and last year) ...
He's not, last year. That's what I was referring to. +7 on/off for Greg, +4.8 for Brogdon. +4.9 RR vs. +2.5 RR.
Monroe was tremendously valuable in part because of how much the alternative centers sucked. He also really improved in his pick and roll defense, stopping the ball, and provided some resistance at the rim.
Brogdon needed to develop more gumption with experience, as he's done this year. He could be pretty passive, so a low-key asset. Defense was never better than average marking 1's when he's more of a 2. This move will help him in that regard. But he had probably evolved passed Greg anyway. Not like Greg had a chance to make his mark this year though w/ the nagging injury.

Scanning FAs, I never disliked Jordan Hill in his time with LAL. No idea what happened last year in MN, but was playing competent 20 mins a game as recently at 2016.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I don't want to give Kidd any excuse to not play Giannis at center. Henson's been more than fine early on, but the Bucks best lineup will be with Giannis in the paint on defense.

I honestly don't see where all these possible risks are coming from. You traded an expiring contract and a heavily-protected 1st for a fringe All-Star level player who fits a position of need. It'd be a "risk" if we gave up Brogdon or Thon in the deal.
There's always a chance that Kidd **** this up but even if his knees are toast and he's not the same player he once was, he's a $15 million expiring next year who you can move with ease. Even cheaper than Monroe.

How many teams in the East have more raw defensive talent than the Bucks right now?
Giannis, Snell, Mids, Brogdon, Bledsoe, Delly, Henson, etc. This team is loaded with capable defenders. And yet we're still gonna find a way to finish bottom half.
Imagine like Budenholzer or Carlisle with this roster. We'd be top 10 on both ends.

The Bucks are laughably thin at center and power forward. It was brought up earlier, but simply playing Giannis at the 5 doesn't necessarily fix things since you'll have to play someone at power forward. Is swapping in Mirza or Wilson at PF better than Henson or Thon at C? Maybe, but neither option is great.
Yea besides Giannis... we have the worst #2, #3, #4 bigs in the league. And the problem is we don't have many avenues to improve it. A friend of mine texted me he wished we had prime Gadzuric on this team. Funny thing is he would be an upgrade over Thon.

Is there any way we don't pay the luxury tax next season?

we'd genuinely be making the all-knee injury team.
Just need to sign Lubchenko.

I know he's had his issues in Minny, but Thibs would be fun to see coach this group too.

90% of the time I'd agree. There will be some fairly serious problems though if there aren't changes made. I'm thinking playoffs here mostly.

Re: Bledsoe to the Bucks For Monroe/#1 - POLL ADDED
We don't NEED a center that can shoot. I think it would be sufficient to play 3 out and then run the pick and roll with Giannis and another center. Isolate opposing centers on Giannis, have them on the move trying to cover Giannis, and when Giannis' man tries to recover, he throws the lob over the top easily at his height. We haven't had good options for this. Greg wasn't mobile, John not very vertical or active, and Thon is poor technically + has bad hands. I think Noel would be a good pick-up. Short contract and wouldn't have to give up much.
Noel-Giannis-Middleton-Brogdon-Bledsoe feels right to me. Would get up and down, have enough playmaking in the halfcourt, respectable shooting, dangerous pick and roll, and could defend on paper.
