Bill Simmons is trying to sell everything he owns to get in on that right now. Even if it's just a portion.

Former suns great Jalen Smith signing with the bulls. Big mistake pacers.

That's surprising. Definitely a good deal for the minimum.

This team last year sucked due to poor coaching, a bunch of babies on the court, and god awful management. Hopefully Bud can save us and being well coached and actually shooting 3s, which should have been our strength, will make the players have more fun and start to give a ****.

Was Nurkic THE PROBLEM? No. But he wasn't exactly the solution either. Dude is incredibly flawed and his passing ability is so very not useful on this team. We get a passing bump for the 4-5 short rolls a game in exchange for a guy who can't finish at the rim, takes key post up shots despite not being a finisher and having HOF offensive players around him, and is a, when at his best, passable defensive player but at his worst just sucks on that end.

Same with people who thought Grayson was a good defender. He **** sucks on that end.

We need to lean into our 3 point shooting. Really wish we had kept Lee for that reason.

Also, I hate the Plumlee signing if he is expected to play much. Play Bol Bol. Go small. Favor analytics and stop the mid range at all cost, 1 on 1 offense we ran way too much of last year.

Nurk was good last year…. I’m only trading him if someone sending decently positive value.. only two teams possibly interested and they found their centers elsewhere (Hartenstein and Eddy)

There might not a coach in the league as dedicated to playing a drop scheme on D as Bud so Nurk does fit in that regard.

Bud does like his Cs (and everyone else) to shoot 3s so Nurk better be getting some extra shots up this summer.

It's interesting that Brook Lopez wasn't really known for his D until he played for Bud so maybe we see Nurk make a similar jump in his scheme.

Nurk in 1st half of season and Nurk in 2nd half/playoffs were completely different players. He didn't help in the playoffs, but was a key reason for getting there in the first place. Still a good defensive C and/or PG are greater needs having three offensive stars.

The problem here is, seeing we're firmly trapped in the second apron, who could we get that replaces him at a similar contracted value? We can't aggregate salaries nor can we include cash as compensation. Because of Ishbia's hubris, we're effectively screwed.

I don’t get how we are screwed. We have one of the most talented rosters in the league. This is no longer a team with 3 stars and min players.

Right! Now the new CBA was signed post-Durant -- so the Suns didn't know about it when they made the deal. But they are in a tough spot now about trying to rebuild the roster

I know what Gambo said about Okogie and Lee might be back - but why the rush? There might be better players out there

Mavs wasting money on a washed Klay while losing DJJ.

I thought 3 "stars" didn't work in the current NBA :D

No one is taking on Nurkic. Durant, Beal, and Booker are all injury prone liabilities. And while we do have some strength, we have no DEPTH or future on acquiring any since we have no picks to use as leverage outside of the second rounders we got from DEN. Once again, we'll be lucky to make the playoffs despite the roster and even if we get there it's going to probably end poorly as it did this time.

I said what I said. I'm not alone in those feelings, either.

Oklahoma City is going to be a tough out next spring.

Damn I loved Hartenstein in the playoffs but $30 million a year is a lot for him. Of course OKC can afford it with so many minimum rookie deals that won't kick to a lot bigger contracts for 2-3 years.
