Sorry to hear about your back, mine's f*cked too..

Was a buldging disk in my back on an MRI in August. Looked like I was getting better, but it since nosedived to state where the pain is continual and also goes into the back, and not just the leg, and I have problems sleeping. Since the beginning of the year it has been a problem.

This diagnosis is a second opinion from a surgeon earlier who said I needed surgery. Independent opinion, separate from his, said I needed it. I would tend to agree. Physical therapy didn't work either.

Yeah, I notice what looked like months of progress vanishing over a short period of time. Life definitely needs to be more than setting up your entire day so that you find an optimal way to lay to be able to get sleep.

I understand, one false move and its agony. I had a bulging disk as well. I was 21 and like an idiot I do a cannonball into a 4 foot pool. Basically landing on my tailbone as if there was no water in the pool at all. The relentless pain I will admit drove me to tears once or twice. I basically could only find a comfortable position laying on my side. Every time I had to move from that position I had to mentally prepare myself for the ensuing pain. I was lucky after about a year of the physical therapy I recovered. Every once in awhile I make an awkward move and the dam thing pops out again, but the pain is nothing like it was. Usually lasts a couple of days and ill wake up and the pain is gone. I definatley look forward to you getting relief from that pain, and getting back to life as it should be.

CHARLYMURPHY wrote:I think after season 3 they dragged it on.. season 6 was great though.. you cant hate lost no matter how much questions they didnt answer.. the show was just too good to not like.

The problem with the show was there was so much wasted time with character development for useless characters and storylines that took you no where. They would spend entire shows detailing the past of some irrelevant character and a plot that is irrelevant to the final outcome or in any way relevant to the main storyline.

Lost is a great example of locking in viewers through utter confusion. The more questions you have, the more you are intrigued and want to get answers. The networks and producers did a hell of a job in keeping viewers confused and anxiously awaiting answers, while they f'ed with us and gave usbizarre storylines and character developments that were inconsequential to the main story.

I honestly hate that show.

OT: My Aunt Passed Today

Post#710 » by GotItNow » Sat Feb 5, 2011 2:00 am

I'm all aglow I had my chance to say goodbye by phone pressed to her ear. There is just something indescribable about that...the words you say, the ones that just bubble up. One soul to another, everything set aside...everything that came before meaningless...just a communication that everything will be just fine on your voyage and I love you. It's a hammer to your very being but strangely it feels good even though you cry. To me it's like a piece of me passed with her but it's ok since we all get together in the end. My "piece" is not lost, it's just borrowed for awhile. She needed it more than me at the time I guess.

We are all going to be ok. So stop fretting about "stuff." It's all BS anyway. You, and I, are going to be just fine...all of us. One of two things, God doesn't exist and so we become inert and don't know anything or He does and there is a hereafter and it's beautiful. So therefore, IMO...there is nothing to fear. No downside, only up.

Thank You. The hard part wasn't the losing, death is as much a part of life as everything else. The hard part was saying goodbye, just didn't know what exactly to say. I mean what do you say when you are staying here and she is going? It's easy to say whatever when you are not at risk. So anyway i just said I love you and I know there is something else out there and you will be fine so don't be afraid.

I believe that so I said what I believe. Maybe it's not as well constructed as what a religious person would say but I gave what I thought good advice. It came from Love anyway so if it's not quite right God will sort it out.
