Henson and Zeller are staying at UNC. Barnes? Not sure yet.

It's encouraging to me. If he had really made up his mind to stay, wouldn't he have piggy-backed on this announcement?

http://tarheelblue.cstv.com/sports/m-ba ... 11aab.html

North Carolina forwards John Henson and Tyler Zeller will return to college and play basketball for the Tar Heels in 2011-12.

Henson, a sophomore from Tampa, Fla., and Zeller, a junior from Washington, Ind., were each second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selections in 2011.

Freshman forward Harrison Barnes is still reviewing information about the possibility of declaring for the NBA Draft.

"John and Tyler certainly considered their options, but in the end it came down to how much they enjoyed not only college basketball, but being part of the collegiate experience both on and off the court," says head coach Roy Williams. "I spoke to about 10 NBA teams on their behalf and gave them that information, but their individual decisions are less about the NBA and more about what they wanted to do right now and the experiences they are enjoying at the University of North Carolina.

"Harrison is not as far along in his decision-making process as were Tyler and John. I am still gathering information on him from NBA teams and hope to provide him with all of that information by the end of next week."

Why would Barnes listen to Williams, anyway? Clearly he'll want him to stay at UNC.

UNC and Williams have a reputation of telling the truth and letting players decide. See Wright and Marvin Williams.

those examples would be enough to make Barnes stay

and if he is comparable to those two I hope he does, for his and the Raps sake if they did draft him

So how will Henson and Mcadoo coexist? Don't Mcadoo play PF too (can he play sf)? That's sad if he's coming off the bench then lol

This would be an unbelievable team.

PG: Kendall Marshall
SG: Dexter Strickland/Reggie Bullock
SF: Harrison Barnes/P.J. Hairston
PF: John Henson/James McAdoo
C: Tyler Zeller

If you take Barnes out of the equation they're still competing for a national title. If he stays you can pencil them as a #1 seed and favorites to win it, which scares me a little. Barnes insists that the lockout won't weigh into his decision at all. It's all about winning a title. That roster ^ is so good it's almost not fair.

Barnes did have a chance to leave Ames H.S. to attend a prep school for his season season but he decided to stay. He wanted to go undefeated again on the way to another state title. They went undefeated, dominating every game and he won nat'l player of the year. It probably hurt his development, which showed when he struggled early on at UNC, but the way he finished the year must give him a ton of confidence going into next season. Hopefully he'll realize that UNC doesn't necessarily need him to do it next year and takes the guaranteed money. It would be tough giving up the shot at a title but apparently (according to his "camp") the lockout doesn't concern him.

Kemba Walker or die tryin'. I would take him with the first pick in the draft. The only true comparison for Kemba Walker is Michael Jordan.

Oh please, MJ is not even in Kemba's level. Kemba's step-back jumper can cure aids and cancer.

Couldn't care less about who's at 3 and 5.
Core of Irving, DeMar and Davis is pretty good

But even if we don't win the lottery and grab Kyrie, I don't think we're screwed seeing Bayless put up consistent minutes as a starter whenever given the chance this year. We could improve at SF and I've been pimping Kanter a lot lately I don't know why but he just seems to be gifted around the basket and have a soft touch. And dropped 34 and 12 at last year's Hoops Summit on a bad back.
