But we trade Lee for other assets, move Timmy Shimmy to SG and Hood (6'8") to SF.
I don't think he's an upgrade over McDermott to be honest.
I love me some McBuckets but R.Hood is a better player then he is.

False. Doug is the better shooter and defender, Hood is a volume shooter.

We all have our own opinion.

It's not really an opinion if it's a fact. Hood's defense has been trash since Duke...like, really bad. The shooting isn't really an opinion either...

I'd say both of their defense and shooting are on the same level but Hood has a better short game and has a pretty nice floater and has better athleticism. IMO i think Hood is a better player if you look at everything. But that's just my opinion.

I think if they got the same amount of minutes, you'd be saying the opposite because he's not a better defender nor is he a better shooter.

Ummmmmmm i never said he was better shooter or defender.

Idk what’s going to happen. None of us do. That’s why I’d push for the protection. At full strength this team is better than anyone thought. Will we get back to full strength in time? If THJ injury pushes into February, or KP gets hurt, we’re toast.
Back to the trade part - dumping Noah, Lee & LFT will have us near max cap space in 2019 - assuming we waive the bird rights to MCD & Kanter. We may want them moving fwd and if we do, it probably doesn’t matter if we move Noah before he expires.
I wish there was a trade machine that broke down upcoming years of salary cap flexibility for a team with estimated cap increases.
I agree with you on the pick being lottery protected though with Hood on the team, I think we’d be a lock for the playoffs. Though if I’m Utah, I’m not agreeing to take Noah with that protection.
you trade for ricky and hood and you're making the playoffs. don't know why if the plan is to keep neither. cap?

My bad, you are correct. Not sure how he can be a better player if he's not a better defender or shooter...

- a solid PG with good vision & defense on a good contract who expires in 2019
- a 25 year old scoring wing with good size
- While dumping the worst contract in the NBA which lasts till 2020
- All for a protected pick

I get it if you don’t think Hood or Rubio aren’t that good, or even have some hang up on moving picks because of past failures, but let’s stop pretending like this is some one way massacre. It’s a fair deal.
My primary objection for not doing it is because we would probably be too good to end up with a high pick.

So i guess you got what i said wrong twice now. I said that i feel that their shooting and defense is on the same level (not that either was better) but that Hood has more to his game with his short range shooting and he has a nice floater and has more athleticism. I should know better by now that what you say is right and anyone that disagrees is wrong no matter what. My bad for forgetting that.

Much sooner that later.... when we can't sign anyone, keep drafting 2 to 3 years away players like FrankN, have Kanter, Noah and KQ making bank, letting KP buddy Willy walk and still haven't make the playoffs... they are going to wonder why
KP is leaving.....

I didn’t misread that, nor did I make a mistake again...But you do you.

McBuckets was awful last night in a game that he should of been good getting the start.

Like I'm really gonna let this slide.Attacking the post is ALWAYS fair game, just like I'm about to do right now. Learn how to separate your ideas from your personal feelings firstly. Once you do that you'd prosper.
I don't like the deal and stated why. Not willing to trade any 1sts right now for any reason. And yes, a team with little actual good youth shouldn't really be considering trading prime assets just for marginal improvement (Rubio) and question marks that aren't truly better than what we already have (Hood).
Can't be no clearer, just to clear cap for players that aren't game changers. Been there done that. Hope the team has learned.
I don't like the Noah situation either, but yes trading assets just to move his deal when the Knicks are nowhere close to being free agent players makes no sense.
Since some don't like a trade idea, they have to be trolls or jealous because they didn't think of a trade they don't like first? Stop it.

And you displayed the same exact pattern. So in reality, you are what you see.
The end is here.
