After 13 games:
Rubio +59
Paul -13

That supports the eye / memory test of our starters, but I'm for risking our floor / ceiling by getting Paul in.

And well...basically CP3 has been better and makes his teams better than Rubio's teams every single season. I just don't understand why people are thinking that we would have been as good as we are now (4th in the West) with Rubio because we don't have any evidence of that.

Rubio is not in a good physical condition and he is playing strictly bad in a 6th man role for the Wolves...those are facts.

Lmao ok how about you compare apples to apples and compare how Rubio did WITH THE SUNS to how CP3 is doing WITH THE SUNS if you want a direct comparison. I don’t really care how these guys do except for WITH THE SUNS.

If we’re doing random comparisons then let’s just compare CP3 to Jordan in 95 or something cause that makes about as much sense.

And Rubio led the Suns to a better record in the first 13 games of the season last year than CP3 has this year...and Rubio had a far worse roster with no Ayton or Crowder.

So this notion of “oh we would never be this good with Rubio” doesn’t make any sense because we Rubio literally had us just as good last season in the same amount of games as CP3 has had with a worse roster.

I’m cool with giving CP3 more games to get accommodated but I’m not gonna stand for any Rubio slander which is how this all started. He changed the culture here and led us to an 8 game winning streak to finish the season. Suns fans have this stupid habit of hating on our former players and it’s gotta stop unless it’s earned (Morris, Bledsoe etc).

CP3 and Rubio have been in the NBA forever, and Paul has always been the better player and his teams have had more success than Rubio's teams. It's not a secret.

I understand what you are saying about comparing their stats in their lone season on the Suns, and it is OK and I agree that for now they have similar raw numbers even though is a super small sample size on their long careers (we are comparing just 13 games).

The most important thing to me is that we have a solid winning record with Paul and things are working well for us.

Sure I have no problem with that take. And for the most part I think you have been respectful to Rubio (in other threads) while still giving CP3 his credit. I don’t really have a problem with CP3 but I don’t agree that we have to bash Rubio to praise CP3. Some people bash Barkley to praise Nash and I don’t really agree with that either.

And of course Chris Paul has had a way better career than Rubio and is a first ballot HOFer which Rubio will never be. But both are different points of their career (Rubio still in his prime albeit towards the end while CP3’s #s suggest he is slowing down but still a good PG in the league due to intangibles he brings).

That's not true.

After 13 games we were 7W-6L last year and we are 8W-5L this season.

not to mention around this same time last season we were on our way to losing 6 of 8 games, followed by an 8 game losing streak shortly after. With CP3 around I do not see us losing that many games in a row like that.

Yeah unless Ayton or Booker get suspended or injured for an extended period of time then I don’t see that happening again either. Would be a shame if it did with a full healthy roster.

WTF is happening with Capela?

He is playing out of his mind lately and in his last game he did a tiple-double with 10 blocks!

His contract is looking an absolute steal.

Yeah, the previous game he had 26/27/5.

I saw some stat showing him and Trae's averages the last two games and asking who should get EC player of the week.

Watching some of the Minny game. That is a team full of talent but really struggles to play the right way.
Wolves should hope they get a top 3 pick this year so they keep it (Otherwise their trade to offload Wiggins suddenly looks even worse while making the Warriors even stronger in the long term). If I'm them, I give it one more crack next year before blowing it up. No way Towns will want to stay there.

Wiggins is actually playing pretty well this year. Shooting over 40% from 3....decent stats all around. Also averages 1.6 bpg. Oubre finally having a decent game too. Green isn't a scoring threat, but still a very good defender.

They are basically tied in the standings with us right now, so we better win this next one and then our game against GS before our two games at Dallas. They will probably of course get healthy in time for us...but they've been playing fairly well while missing a few key rotation players like Josh Richardson, Kleber, Dwight Powell and Dorian Finney Smith.

I hope he's suspended for that. Dude grabbed his ass for leverage and then did a Ric Flair low blow.

Kelly looks out of sorts in Golden state!! I dont know if they jive with his play style or if he is just unhappy but just the look on his face seems like his zeal for the game and fun play style is gone. I hear he is having major woman problems so maybe that is contributing, but he seems a shell of the bouncy happy go lucky dude who was here!!
