Sucks that we're not doing summer league this year. Our summer league team wouldve been nice.

You have to have a foundation to build them into a star. Part of the reason Frank and Knox look so bad is cause we have put them in horrible situations. Put them on the Warriors, Heat or Spurs they look a lot different.

If Kawhi isn't drafted by the spurs I doubt he becomes who he is today and he was picked 15th. Raptors just won with no lottery picks on the roster. Warriors won with no top 5 picks. We don't need to be a bottom feeder for another season we need to actually start winning games, before RJ and Toppin pick up bad habits.

Talent shows itself eventually...Hate to break it to you but you can have the greatest coaches of all time and they aren’t transforming Frank or Knox into stars.

We haven’t drafted well outside of KP.

Talent does show itself I agree. But, you are only guaranteed to get sure-thing superstar talent if you are drafting top 3, and with the new lottery odds even if you are the worst team in the league you are only picking top 3 50% the time. Other talent you need to develop. It doesn't make sense to punt a whole season to only give you a small chance to get a to draft a top player.

And even if you do draft a top player then some other sh*t can happen like they get injured (KP, Oden).

Bubble stats are nonsense. Every NBA player shoots well in an empty gym.

Even Mitch.

Just saying the Knicks can keep having 50 million in cap space, in 2021, 2022, 2023, nobody is signing here while the team keeps winning 20 games..I don’t care how good the players are coming out of the draft, you have to start putting a winning product on the floor for cap space to mean anything..

They need at least one more year of tanking.

This draft wasn't good but next year's is very deep.

Let's remember that they haven't drafted well recently. All it takes is one draft to change the course of the entire franchise.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

If RJ develops into Utah G. Hayward, I'd be happy. If he does come along, I would hope he learns some game from him.

Also, Hayward has shown the hubris to come off the bench. So if he did sign here maybe he would be accepting of that role here too.

They should have been did this

People act shocked that DSJ did well when his team supported him as the feature guard but then dropped off when he was demoted.

Turns out “Eat what you kill” was just Fizdale speak for “management is requiring us to play veterans while we kill the confidence of our young guys.”

At this point, DSJ’s confidence seems shattered, but Frank looks like he’d still thrive in the role of hustle/energy/D facilitator.

Biggest irony is how well Trier and Frank seemingly complement each other, but that ship obviously sailed too. Maybe IQ will step right in with confidence and consistency?

Anyway, I’ll believe it when I see it when MSG doesn’t sign the third or fourth incarnation of Jared Jack or Elf Payton.

That is yet to be determined. He was heavily recruited out of HS as a pass first PG. Kentucky has had a log jam at guard for the last 2 years so Quickley was relegated to more of an off ball scorer. I think he can be like a Lou Williams type.

Apparently, you can call him a combo guard. :D

Recruited as a PG prospect, used more off the ball like a 2 at Kentucky because of depth/all the guards

His highlights look very "2" to me, but I'm no scout and maybe the PG ability is there to unlock

recruited as a PG, and his recruiting profile via ESPN called him a "true PG" but from what I saw, he looked more like a 2 that can play the 1 in spurts. Hagans looked to be the clear true-PG for them (he has a nice handle, and is a very good passer, but can't shoot the 3)

from what I saw, he doesn't have great handle, doesn't finish well in the paint, is just an ok passer. he was drafted for shooting and defense
