Im actually very curious what the matchups are going to be. If we are going to see plenty of Chet vs Paolo. Or if we are going to see more Chet vs Williams and Paolo vs Timme.

I know the Chet vs Paolo matchup is the one more people want to see. But speaking from a NBA perspective, we would probably learn more from them matching up against the other big.

Chet vs Williams: Mark Williams is a big dude. 7 foot with a 7'7 wingspan (according to Duke's latest measurements) and he moves pretty damn good for a guy his size. I want to see what Chet will look like going against a guy with legit NBA size and athleticism. Mark has also put on a good amount of muscle as well, the dude is filling out well.

Paolo vs Timme: Id love to see Paolo defending a guy with Timme's skillset. It would be a great test for him defensively.

Yah, I have to agree with you. Especially seeing Chet against Williams. I don't have any trouble imagining that Williams will be a quality backup center in the NBA with his size and mobility - but those are the kinds of matchups an elite player needs to take advantage of.

Agreed on wanting to see those matchups but I can already tell you that Williams is going to physically dominate Chet if Chet tries to match up with him in the paint. Williams is a big boy, built like a man, and Chet has been getting pushed out of the paint with relative ease in the other games which goes back to my worry about his frame holding up in the paint against legit big men.

In any event, I hope this is a close game. Based on what I've seen in the early going, it doesn't look like any team is remotely close to Gonzaga right now. Their depth of talent and cohesiveness (as usual for a Mark Few team) is next level.

Big part of the reason i applauded Chet for picking the Zags to begin with. He's not going to be put in a situation where he can't thrive. i assume this will be the case tonight IRT to the matchups and how Chet will be used.

So nice to see 18 year old 7'2 Zvonimir Ivišić back in action after fighting with injuries for long time. In my mind he is better prospect than his more known and more pro ready twin 7'1 Tomislav. They both could enter draft this year.

Mark hasnt really shown it much, but he has a workable jumper. I can see him being a Gorgui Dieng kind of NBA player. Like you said a quality backup player. But ya these are the kinds of matchups that I think are great for a player like Chet.

Mark is a quality big, he most likely will have a NBA career, he is also a legit big man. So this is a legit test for him. While also, ya its not like Mark is a future top 5 pick or anything, he is a solid player. An elite prospect should be able to show out against a player like Mark.

Since I’ve had good luck today I’m doing a 2 team parlay - Duke ML and San Fran ML.

Duke's size and physicality are making Chet struggle to make an impact out there.

Duke has a lot of physical strength in Griffin, John, Keele, Banchero and Moore. Those guys all have NBA strength already, and Mark Williams doesn't but a classic rim runner body.

Will be interesting to see how Holmgren does against a team full of NBA strength and to a lesser degree how Timme does against perimeter players he will see in the NBA driving at him.

So far Duke is bullying them but some nice plays from Bolton and Nembhard, who are just very solid experienced guards that Duke don't have has kept it close.

I might have to reevaluate my perception of Banchero lol. This is my first time watching a game of his and he looks great.

Banchero putting on a show. I just don't understand why he has doubters, he's the real deal. Man among boys at this level.

Banchero's defense hasn't impressed me though. What's the consensus on him on that end of the floor for people who have watched him this year?

Man these 3s he's punishing guys with when they go under. Even the misses look good. Intercepting passes in transition. He's got shades of Bron in his game.
