Boston's 2024-25 Nike NBA City Edition uniform marks Chapter Two in a multi-season story, marking the game’s evolution. Green and black colorways connect the past and future, while a woven side panel and modern typeface add a forward-looking style.

I would’ve bought a Lonnie Walker city jersey to help offset the lux tax penalty

I hate these jerseys and I don't even understand their "explanation" for the design. Maybe they'll grow on me, but the only one worse for me were the grey sleeved unis we had years ago.

I like the City Editions better now than I did when first released. But that isn’t saying much. I hate them less than I once did but still hate them. Maybe they will grow on me though like many Celtics players have in the past.

Tatum (54), White (50), and Pritchard (50) have combined for more made threes than more than half the teams in the league, according to StatMuse. So that's happening.

Celtics currently only 9th in 3FG% and yet still has the #1 offense in the league.

Image

If we could get JB (36%-ish) and Hauser (41%-ish) to their career figures, that would be great. For all the crap Horford's getting on this site, he's still shooting 49/44/100 lol and is actually decent on defense. Cs are right around their season defensive rating when Horford is on the floor. It's when Luke comes in that our defense craters (total opposite with Q). White, Tatum, and Pritchard are just bombing away. Holiday's % has gone down to closer to his career average after shooting lights out last season.

EDIT: Would like to add the two that have shot poorly were also injured for a time, recovering from injury, and/or has lingering injury.

Hauser has had two years in a row where he has a really bad month and change shooting, then is amazing the rest of the time. If he just got it over with early this year I’d be fine with that.

Over the last few years I saw PP as a player who has been wanting to prove to the best players that he belongs and that they can trust him. He's definitely checked that off this season. With that said, I can definitely see one of either JT, JB, Jrue or White saying amongst themselves "damn, imagine if PP was like 4 inches taller?" :D

Makes sense. They play Cavs at home Tuesday and don't play the Wizards in Washington until Friday. They don't play in Washington again this season unless they meet in the postseason.

If the Celtics can program their broadcast to show the City Edition games in black and white and "action green", I would appreciate the new jerseys a whole lot more.

Respect to Joe on running some new lineups and running new guys on a team that just won the CHIP., This is only going to be HUGE in the long run for the team. Legitimately making the bench even better by giving them burn and confidence.

Pritch - 28.2 mins +6 mins on last season
Hauser - 21.3 mins = mins as last season (had an injury)
Queta - 19 mins +8 mins from last season
Kornet - 16.7 mins +2 mins from last season
Tillam - 9.4 mins a little less than last season
Walsh - 9 mins didt play last season.

Team is
2nd in wins,
4th in margin of victory
2 in offensive rating
8th in defensive rating
4th in eFG%
2nd in protecting the ball
10th in FT/FGA

Everything is looking GREAT.

Especially when considering KP has yet to play, Jaylen has missed 4 games, Hauser missed 3 games.

Our bench lineup, when the team is healthy, is legit able to beat a bunch of full NBA teams, imo

SG: Walsh
SF: Hauser

I definitely wanted PP and Sam to get closer to 25mpg this season. Sam's trending back into that direction after the injury.

That's a good Bench.
It's better than the bottom 10 Teams; maybe the bottom 15.

Am i crazy or do these jerseys look better on social media edits. Maybe they were designed more for clip farming than traditional uniforms

The league is evolving fast. I see teams like Atl, GSW and OKC are raking teams and getting out in transition. We get out too on transistiin but we rely on contesting shots and getting boards. This is why we really dont let teams get to the line but with some of our recent rebounding issues i would like to see more Walsh and Springer. I like what they can potentially bring defending the perimeter, rebounding their positions and getting out in transition.
I know Joe always wants shooting on the court but are we letting it hurt other areas that we can win the margins.
