I don't know. I don't trust Bynum. But we'll see who the best options are next offseason. I don't know who will be available, but my guess is there will be at least one good option if we keep our cap space. How's that for being specific? Maybe Atlanta falls apart and decides to rebuild and trade Horford. Bosh might opt out of Miami. Lebron decides he wants to hang out with his buddy, the President. Aldridge has already said he wants out of Portland. Other possibilities might come up.

Well, he walked away from around $4.75M when he opted out. And I saw reports that GSW still has the MLE based on how they structured the Iggy acquisition, so I'm assuming he got a deal similar to what Hickson got (3/15).

So Denver lets Koufas go for Darrell Arthur (???) and signs Hickson. Are they planning on playing on playing Faried some at center? I guess with so few legit centers in the NBA, we'll see more small ball lineups.

And yes, if the Wiz could have gotten Hickson for the MLE, they should have. He's not great, but he's better than what the Wiz have.

Yes, they had truly one of the worst off-seasons of any team - IMO. On a mildly decent team they lose their defensive C for an offensive PF. Then they sign a defensively poor PF. WTF? They lose their best perimeter defender in Iguodala. I predict a 10 game swing.

And I personally am very happy we didn't get Hickson - the fit with Whit just isn't there. This team needs to stay away from knuckleheads and defensively challenged players - again IMO.

So is it fair to call Tim Connelly an Ernie Grunfeld disciple - especially after the Foye S&T?

Denver was "mildly decent" last season? They won 57 games and their playoff results might have been different if Galinari hadn't torn his ACL. Denver was a GOOD team last season and they've made some poor moves this offseason.

I hope the Wizards reach that level of "mildly decent" this season(although a different play-off outcome would be nice).

Looks like Foye has become a much better shooter since his days in Washington but probably a much worse slasher. He shot 41% from 3 good for 24th in the league. And he's taking about 5 attempts per game in about 28 mpg. But Foye is only shooting 37.8% on 2 point field goal attempts. He's could be useful like Gary Neal off the bench.

I heard Speights is getting three years for $9 million, but haven't confirmed.

Averaged about 5 to's per 40 minutes last season. Other stats were decent. Looks like a 6'11 shlub. 25 years old.

Just over the MLE. Seems to be in line with what the other reserve bigs have been getting so far. Seems like the price difference between bigs and wings has narrowed this offseason, at least when it comes to reserve/rotation players (starting big men like Smith, Pekovic, and Bynum are still getting top dollar offers). Wonder if that indicates a trend.

Very interesting. Never heard of him before. At first glance, he doesn't seem like an impact player, but of course, I like the fact that the Spurs like him haha. It appears that he's a good but not great defender, and the same on offense (at least in the ACB league). The thing that sticks out to me is that he is VERY GOOD in the pick and roll. I'll have to read up on him more when I get home.

I know this is not going to happen, and I'm not sure I'd actually want to see it happen, but I can't help throwing this one out there... Delonte West anyone?

He's a psychopath. I'm honestly embarrassed that he is a product of our city. I've always despised him (although the LeBron's mom stuff was redeeming), but he's still a good player, and clearly he would sign here in a heartbeat, probably for the vet minimum. He's only going to be 30 this coming season. Can play both guard positions. Solid defender and capable offensive contributor. Not going to dominate or anything, but he'd be a very good addition as depth. And for the minimum, he'd be a bargain.

But yeah, he's crazy, and weird, and we probably don't want him in our locker room. But from a talent standpoint, I'd be happy to have him here.

I like delonte game...hes like the matt Barnes of forwards. ..extremely underated and efficient. ..he wouldn't work here because we had gun toting guys...but all last yr, I was saying he'll be perfect for the bulls or thunder...he'll reslly knock lebron off his game as well...any contender needing a guard should sign him asap
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!

The article talks about him being amnestied. If that happened, sure I'd give him a 1-year minimum deal to see if he can help us off the bench. I think what most here had an issue with was the idea of trading Ariza to get him.
