Not sure that any other Playoff team can offer him that much.
Dang.... good point. Or if they think Okafor's done, they can offer O'Neal $2-3 million, which I don't think any other contender can match. Varejao's injury and the subsequent DPE might be a big deal for the Warriors and others in terms of who is really going to be available for them to sign.
Looks like Okafor won't be ready this season....so there goes that.

Yeah.....good for us, bad for them. Seems like he really gained DC's trust...Rudy too.

It was a terrible idea and about 99% of people said so right from the moment it happened. No idea what they were thinking. Maybe long term you need to go in a different direction (like the Dubs did with Jackson to Kerr), but firing Malone so quickly after they were off to a great start while having Cousins fully engaged for the first time in his career, was idiotic. Well hey, we need more doormats in the west to pump up our record on.

It was due to a difference in philosophies, Kings took advantage of the timing - losses during Cousins' absence - to do what they were waiting to do. their new philosophy, IDK, pretty stupid and ill-suited to their players I think.

Jason Kidd saying good things regarding Larry Sanders....can't help but wonder though if they are just trying to regroup so they can trade him by February possibly.

Re: Around the NBA III
ATL with a statement win over Clipshow. They got 3 legit 3 point threats (eh maybe 4 with Millsap) in their starting linuep with Teague average to above average in a given year, Korver obviously is lights out on catch & shoot, and Carroll who can knock them down if you leave him open. Then they have guys down low with Millsap getting his on iso's, PnR, post game, turn arounds. Al Horford has his pick and pop game going. The two bigs pass well with each other.
They can beat the W's if their shot is falling. Their weakness seems to be size and maybe rebounding since they play two PF's. I think a skilled big man could give them troubles.

The Knicks, in an effort to rebuild through the N.B.A. draft and free agency, appear to have officially given up on this season. They’re an unthinkable 5-32, and on Monday night they traded away J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert, leaving a roster that might struggle against an N.B.A. Development League team.
So we feel it’s only merciful to give our Knicks beat writer, Scott Cacciola, a break from such woeful basketball. He deserves to see the game played at a higher level. For the next month or so, we would like to point him to some good, quality basketball, wherever it might exist. Any suggestions?
Maybe there’s another N.B.A. team that warrants his attention, or perhaps a high school or a college squad. For that matter, maybe you know of a strong coed team at your local Y that Scott should write about. Tell us where to send him. Submit your ideas in the comments section.

Re: Around the NBA III
Woj is reporting Cavaliers are closing in on Timofey Mozgov for two first round picks!!! Both picks are from thunder and grizzlies.
wow....wonder then those picks are. Cavaliers might have been better off rebuilding through the draft without Lebron if theyre giving up two first rounders for mozgov.

If Love leaves next year and Lebron does as well, I don't think Lebron would be safe in Ohio. GM and Coach Lebron better start catering to Love and telling the team to make Love like the situation.
