Normally not a big deal but interesting timing with him heading towards FA and starting to looking closer to the old Oladipo. Kind of wonder if that podcast set off some alarms for the FO because they really didn't talk about how he was playing which you'd suspect coming off multiple good games in the playoffs, it was basically where he's at in his career and how he handled his surgeries... and made sure to talk about the first one being bad.

I wouldn’t make much of it. He was pretty much center stage in game 5 thats why he got the appreciation tweet.

Capitalism 101. The Heat want to make Oladipo happy to keep him in house when he gets out into the open market so they are psychologically feeding him press. Plus the comeback is a feel good story. The Heat are full of feel good stories, from gleague upstarts to turkish legends in the making. I hope this dipomadness doesn't become toxic.

The goal remains to win a title, anything else is failure.

I agree it's all marketing and capitalism... not surprising, almost every company in the world does it and this is Miami...we are in the competition for this kid, he seems to be on the way to getting better I would examine his knee every day from here on out until I sign him though

I don't think it would be smart to sign him to a long deal, like Kyrie id do 1 year with a team option for the second every year from here on out. Riley's loyal and will take care of you, even if you're Duncan Robinson.

Miami had to have contingency plans in place from last year or hell even the year before. They likely forecast and cap plan several seasons into the future. I am sure Dipo factored into that.

It would not shock me in the least if Dipo's leg is being monitored, and they know how its responding to his playing time. I am sure whatever choices they make are directly tied to their trust in his health.

A solid Dipo resurgence is going to be crazy for Miami, we all expected a consolidation trade this off season to make use of Duncan's contract, now...there is no telling who could be thrown into that trade to bring back a wale.

Pshh. This playoff is showing us that whale life is becoming overrated. If we win a title we're going for seconds. No further whales needed

They laid out a huge plan to Jimmy to get him a championship before he signed here so I’m sure this is all just part of the plan.

Just hoping Butler and Lowry are good to go come Monday. Our third stringers may be able to get us past the Birds, but the 76ers are another beast. Embiid, Harden, Maxey and Harris are a much deadlier quadrant than Lollipop, Ginger, Hunter and Collins. Our offensive gameplan and defensive schemes will have to be different this time around.

Jimmy will likely have revenge in his eyes this series. Not only would he want to shove it up the behind of the 76ers front office for not backing him up in 2019, but he'll also want to defeat James Harden - who ousted him from the yoffs' his first season with Minnesota. Oh, and he'll want to defeat one of his close friends in Joel as well..

Maxey will struggle in Miami but will absolutely ball out in the Wells Fargo Center - that's my prediction for this series.

I better NEVER see someone say Gobert is better than Bam as a player or defender ever again. This dude is embarrassed every single year in the playoffs.

This is good news that he's still on their long term radar. He may be one of the next out of nowhere contributors(as a defensive player) for this team. If this team shuffles the deck this summer he'd be a nice minimum player to add.

The PR wagon isn't done, seems Oladipo has another media session happening. I do wonder if Miami is feeling a sense Oladipo may not feel as wanted as he wants to be in Miami and may move on.... Miami only Oladipo's Bird rights, he'll be unrestricted. Oladipo is a previous all-star, still in his prime, worked hard to get back only not to be included in a rotation that had players like Robinson, Martin and even Vincent in it. I like 2 of those 3 players but if you're Oladipo that's pretty much disappointing.

I'm wondering if Oladipo is beating the Miami FO/Coaching staff expectations of where he'd be at now.
