Spurs fan base is extremely lucky.

This is true. All lottery picks as well, after bad seasons.

He is on an absolute tear right now, & the Spurs have put together two impressive wins in a row.

His defensive impact is crazy. You literally can’t put the ball on the floor going toward the bucket w/o knowing where he is. It’s funny to watch how much the offense has to adapt to his presence on any given possession

The Pacers were screwed in the paint. The only one who could score in there was TJ McConnell.

OP could have saved face by saying “I’m concerned for his injury risk”

nope, just talked about bad efficiency in a rookie’s first games with no PG on the worst supporting cast in the west

Wow!! I never thought I'd fathom it happening in this more perimeter/3 point oriented era.....but I think Hakeem's all time leading total of 3830 blocks is already in serious jeopardy.of being broken by VW.

The ONLY thing that will prevent him from breaking this total imho is unforeseen health issues.

This guy is just so unfair. A freakin' cheat code. That's what everyone should be concerned about now.

It goes beyond luck. It's luck combined with impeccable timing.

I believe it goes something like: Spurs have only finished 12th or worse in the conference 3 times. And the 3 times they did, they got Robinson, Duncan and Wembanyama in the resulting drafts.

LOL.

I mean, there are gonna be back, but they need a lot of help in San Antonio. They got WEMBY, and another 1 or 2 rotation pieces but they needed more talent around him.

They've been very fortunate to have a record as bad as they do (so far). This is likely the last year they're going to see a high lottery pick in awhile.

Still better than the Cavs with Lebron or the Mavs with Luka, who never got the help from the draft they needed. Also helps that the Spurs are well run and have a stockpile of future picks.

Yeah, I'm concerned. Concerned the league will be his next season.

I love how he has progressed. I'm glad he is on the Spurs over any other team (that isn't the Bucks)

With 31 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 blocks tonight, Wemby is only the third rookie to have a 30/10/5/5 game.

The other two? Robinson and Duncan.

It’s that time again for the Spurs.
