People keep talking about this exit interview. Did they really show all the exit interviews with players? That seems strange to me. If so, can someone send me a link of it?

Thanks. I think people read too much into things. But it was kind of an odd answer.
I really enjoyed the Isaiah Thomas video after it.
It's a weird answer for a RFA.
At first back in April you think nothing of it.
But then all this stuff happens in July and you can read into it.
Now with him going public just the other day and saying "suns using restricted Fa against him"
Makes it more clear that he wishes he was a UFA and he would of bounced.
It's a mix of money and really just not being happy here.
At the end of the day though he has no leverage.
All I know is without him suns and playoffs would be bleak. With the statistic duo of goran numbers off/on with frye and the W/L ratio with Bledsoe in the lineup tough to overcome in the west.
Im just letting it play out it's probably real
Nasty between the two behind closed doors at least for the most part they are keeping it that way.
I'm more tuned into football season now

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.
Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Well, basically he just needs to get out to the real world (not that any NBA player lives in the real world) but I'd like to say to him, "Listen, we ALL try to get as much money as we can from the employer (if you work for someone else) we would like to work for, and if we can't we might look elsewhere, but everyone in this country, if they can't find better money or a better situation elsewhere, they take the best offer on the table from their employer. 99.9% of the world would be extremely happy to have the type of offer you have. What's the problem?" Of course that is easy to say, but for an NBA player, they live in a different world.
He really doesn't have much to lose by holding out as long as he can to see if the Suns will up their offer, but he is obviously losing some fan support. Ultimately he will sign, and I can't see any real good reason the Suns offer any more to get it done. It's not like he has any other options.

I wouldn't be too worried about what Bledsoe said, the guy isn't very smart. Bad news is, neither is his agent.

Sounds like agent talk to me to be honest. Obviously I have no evidence of this but rarely do you hear players talk about specifics of contract negotiations.

...We are using his RFA status against him though. Just like every team does with their RFAs.

Wtf is that supposed to mean? Lowry got the contract we (unofficially reported) extended to Bledsoe, and Bledsoe had half the year Lowry had. It would seem it is time for Bledsoe's camp to step up, sign up, and BALL!

I feel like we shouldn't that offered $12M/yr to Bledsoe. We should have offered $9M/yr or something like that and then Bledsoe would sign with another team for $12M thinking that the highest he can get and then we could have just matched and case closed.

yeah, that's what we get for making him feel wanted.

That makes sense but I think the front office wanted to be super professional and give him a contract that was very fair and not play games about it.
I just don't understand Bledsoe's logic of thinking he deserves more than that...

I do. His agent, or rather his staff, has worked up all the numbers that show how valuable Eric was during his time with the Suns. Some of the numbers are very impressive. It's not a stretch, using those numbers, to say that he was easily a top 20 player while he was healthy. I'm sure the agent has even assured him that his time lost is of little consequence as they are paying him for what he will do not what he has done. And when looking at comparable players/contracts, his agent focuses on Parsons, Hayward and Irving. It makes for a pretty picture and it paints us in a poor light. It's not reality but I'm pretty sure it's the perception his agent has created about and for his client.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 4
I just checked out Eric Bledsoe's brother's instagram (who happened to live with him in Phoenix this season) and he made a post saying how he was going to enroll in college. Someone in the comments asked where he was going to school and he said "Scottsdale" (Community College, I assume.)
To me, that pretty much guarantees that Bledsoe/his family are confident that he is coming back, it's just an issue of money right now.

I mean yeah, but Parsons and Hayward play different positions than Bledsoe, and they were very reliable and durable throughout the season(s).

Honestly, it doesn't mean anything. Lots of athletes live in AZ in the off season.
You are trying to connect dots that are not associated with each other.

Funny thing is babby knows the free agent game better than rich Paul by a wide margin. I really don't like babby but I know that babby is more experienced and more educated than rich Paul. There is no argument that rich Paul can use that will trick or mislead babby.
Basically rich Paul bringing a knife to a gun fight.

I posted this on our board earlier but wanted to see what you all thought since you're pretty much in the same boat as us regarding your RFA.

Is that a good enough return for Bledsoe for you all? I believe it is.
