Weird timing for this considering Fultz just came off a two-day visit with Boston. Maybe he didn't impress.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

What about it lead you to think he didn't impress?

Maybe it wasn't the workout. Maybe Ainge saw the 1st halves of the Stanford, Arizona, Oregon and UCLA games...

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I think it suggests that Ainge wasn't sold on Fultz after the in-person, two day evaluation.

Fultz setting up a visit with Sacramento implies that Boston is communicating to his camp that they're heavily leaning towards dealing the pick.

It subtly suggests that they reached this conclusion only after vetting the prospect up close and personal.

Or! Boston wants the league to think they are dealing the pick to try and get people to outbid themselves!

Idk, you can put a spin on anything this time of year

It's a possibility. Kevin Ding (most reliable Laker's reporter) just put out an article stating that the Lakers aren't really sold on Lonzo and are looking to get workouts from Fultz and Fox as well.

We very well could have our choice of Ball or Jackson at #3 when it's all said and done.

Fultz has no agent so his weird choice of teams to workout with makes a bit more sense in that context.

It would be funny if the Kings traded up to 1 and took Ball not Fultz lol. Well not exactly funny because I'd rather have Ball or Jackson than Fultz but funny that everyone thinks Fultz will gen he guy going first.

It'll be real funny for our 2019 pick.

If the Kings trade up to #1 and then attempt to strongarm the Lakers with the threat of selecting Lonzo Ball, then that settles it. Hinkie is their shadow consultant.

Id be shocked. I want this to be true, but not buying it. No way. What could vlade even offer besides 5&10?

I'm not shocked at the thought that Boston may trade the pick. I expect Boston to trade the pick. I'd be more shocked if Fultz actually works out for the Kings.

Agreed. Boston's weakness is bigs already. Plus, Amir Johnson and Olynyk are free agents. And you don't just cast aside an All-NBA Defensive Player for a guy who is going to be good but probably not an all-star either.

If Danny Ainge doesn't think Fultz is a star, then he has to have the balls to get Jonathan Isaac, who they really, really need, with the #5 pick, and Zach Collins or Lauri Markkanen with the #10 pick.

Of course, I hope he stays put. I find it interesting that the Sixers were dumb for drafting logjams at center, yet Markelle Fultz is somehow the obvious choice for a team that wants to give Terry Rozier more minutes. The Sixers should've traded down in 2015 (I wanted and still want Justise Winslow), and Celtics should trade down for Jonathan Isaac and a center at #10.

[Edit: Yes, Josh Jackson may be a better Justise Winslow than Justise Winslow.]

That is possible, but that would mean that the Lakers would select Fox, and I would think that if they were to pass on Ball that they would probably take Jackson.

I don't know though. Fox is definitely a wildcard. The Lakers really NEED a point guard so them taking Fox is definitely not outlandish.

I say Ainge asks for #5, Labisserre and Caulie-Stein. Everybody was wondering why the Celtics worked out Dennis Smith and suddenly Dennis Smith cancels his Knicks visit. Hmmm...

... and Josh Jackson is 10x better than Justise Winslow

Not doubting your theory of DSJ but, WHY would Bos want DSJ to begin with?? dont they have enough guards and AB isnt a FA till next year and DSJ plays no defense

A. Nice trade. Ainge should ask for that. But Kings shouldn't give it. I wouldn't even give up five and ten in this draft for #1, for the same reason I would trade #1 for the #5 and #10.

B. "Nothing"? Lol. Winslow and Jackson have differences, including body type and 3pt shooting percentages (if you believe in Jackson's stroke). Otherwise, I find their defensive agility and intensity to be very similar. I also think their ballhandling ability is similar, with the edge going to Jackson. Moreover, regardless their one on one attributes, I think both would fill a similar role for the Sixers ... similarly.
