6 for 10 + 17!
Take Clarke and use 17 in a package for someone like Dinwiddie.
It would be odd though, and a bit funny to trade them back their #17 pick. Plus we would have to wait for FA period to start I think, for them to trade Din's contract. It would all depend on who they pick up in FA, and what needs they may have. They just picked up TPrince in that Crabbe trade.
As far as the ATL trading partner, I would still want to do a different package. Maybe the 6th, 32nd and the Milw pick for the 8 and 10. That way they get a 1st for next year, while still having two 1st round picks this year. They can then package many of those second rounders for someone else, or draft and stash players for the future.
Then we can make some choices of possible trades and drafting a player we may want. For example moving trading the 8th with salary fillers for a starting point guard, and draft Clarke with the 10th pick. Then use our Standard MLE for a starting PF, since we will most likely still be over the cap.
This is just way off in terms of value. The #8 and #6 are barely different in terms of value. They're basically trading the #10 for the MIL pick. Come on, RDG. You're smart than this.
And yet it would all depend on who they may target at the 6th position, knowing that that player may not be there at the #8. I am thinking outside the box, and in a way, placing my hope that they want someone at 6. If they don't, then there is no need to trade for them, other than to get rid of some of those draft picks, or get a vet with the 8,10, 17th picks.
