Yes. Kemba is being paid by two different teams to not play for them let that sink in.

That said, he’s still a restricted free agent. Wonder what Orlando’s play is going to be here. Would love the Bucks to take a flyer with a TPMLE offer, but think Orlando matches.
I like this development very much but I think Bamba gets a bit more than we can offer. Closer to a one year prove it deal in the 8- $10 mil range

I would totally try and get Bamba. A really good shot-blocker who can actually make threes and is ten years younger than Brook, so he should be able to hedge/recover on a screen. Since there's zero shot at getting someone like Myles Turner.

We gotta get a pitch in to Kyrie if he does become available for MLE just as a courtesy even before he signs with LA or Miami or GS, its crazy that's even a possibility. That would be a legit super team.

Pistons have all we need...
Brook + Grayson + Hill ... for ... Olynyk + Kemba + Hamidou Diallo
If a pick is needed just add it.
Olynyk still stretches the floor
Kemba starts with Jrue , at last we get a 2nd reliable ball handler.
Diallo adds athleticism to the wings. We need a Giannis co-runner for fast break points.
Then sign Free Agents ...
PF/C Isaiah Hartenstein
PG/SG Delon Wright
SG Bryn Forbes
Kemba / D.Wright
Jrue / Forbes / Diallo
Khris / Pat / Diallo
Giannis / Hartenstein
Portis / Olynyk
Kudos for the effort but Kemba has been washed up for 2-3 years now. Like BAD. And he's a midget. No thanks.

The Magic won't offer Bamba the QO. He'd just sign it.

Frankly, Durant and Jimmy Buckets is terrifying.
theyd probably give up herro and even a third piece too id imagine.
and if that happened are they really all that more terrifying than durant and a motivated playoff kyrie?
like for us we'd probably have to give up jrue and khris to get back KD and salary filler. sure giannis and durant would be terrifying but practically do we get better? i think for games and stretches we might but im not sure overall we would
I do think Jimmy > “motivated playoff Kyrie”, especially since it’s TBD whether that guy will be seen again, much less for a full season.
If the Heat could trade Jimmy to a 3rd team instead of Bam I could see them preferring that. But does he hold the same kind of value given the age difference?
Miami would be even older but their window is short as is. Would definitely be as much of a go for it move as there’s been.

He would*
To make Bamba a RFA the Magic would have to offer him the QO, which is a 1 year deal with a no trade clause with a salary of $10,096,703. Imo that's far above market value and Bamba would be wise to just take it.

You think the Bucks are interested in him? I would be but they probably figure "we have Brook anyway."

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - Pat Opts In
Not sure where this goes, but I like the signing of AJ Green to a 2 way contract. He'd be good as an end of bench shooter. I'd probably take him over Grayson Allen right now.
I watched him several years ago in person over a couple of AAU seasons. He played with the Iowa Barnstormers that also had the younger Hauser brother(not sure why he played for an Iowa team). He was a lot shorter than he is now and was a good ball handler, yet not much of a point guard. Now that he's grown a lot, he's more of a shooting guard, but he's smart and poised, although not much of a defender. Hope he can stick

What day is it legal signings or allowed for wojo/shams allowed to tweet out signings? I've seen both June 30th and July 1st.

If you’re the Bulls or Miami, you can sign players now. If the Bucks, not until well into the day of July 1st.

I think Bamba is probably overrated but also an excellent buy low opportunity to replace Brook long term. Worth the shot to get him under control for a few years, Bud and staff have a way of unlocking parts of guys games that make them valuable.

Chicago and Miami both got 2nd round picks taken away just like we did.
