This franchise has been in a hell the way they handled Amare. They could have gotten good assets had they signed Amare to an extension somebody else would give him in FA. But they thought the fans were right and wouldn't offer more than what 14 mil a year?

I'd be fine with giving Amare 14 mil for three seasons after next season, 4 seasons I don't know though.
Amare is handling this way better than Marion who called his relationship a bad marriage, the dude felt disrespected but the Suns "low ball" offer was a lot more than any team was willing to grant him at the time.

Just give him is extension...

I don't get it. I mean they made an offer which apparently wasn't declined because of the money but the length. Coro said in is article that Amare isn't asking the max. Even if Sarver doesn't want to pay him 15-16 millions/year, just lock the guy for 4 more years at this price and try to trade him this summer. It's way way way better to do that than risking to see one of the faces of this franchise leaving for nothing.

If nobody wants him...meh it's not that HORRIBLE to keep our dominant PF. I prefer that than hoping a trade in the few hours left, which would probably be a bad one especially if there is no pick(s) in return.

Glad we all wasted so much of our time bickering over trades just to get blue balled at the end.
This team needs to switch something up, we are not built to win the ring, and quite honestly are becoming boring to watch.

Was this Traxxe's last post?

Might as well comment fully on that now. I heard we had a trade in place with Miami and they wanted to check out Clark to decide between him and another secondary piece to go in the trade. I was told it was just a strong rumor at that stage. So if Clark plays a lot tonight or more than usual that may be why.

But again I was told that was a rumor and not even barely confirmed. So please don't hold me to that.

9 more hrs.......

You have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously. Just save yourself.

The Suns are the fourth winningest franchise in NBA history, in terms of winning percentage. We've missed the playoffs three times since 1988.

We're not even close to becoming the sports version of MC Hammer's career. That comparison couldn't be MORE off base.

Just stop this nonsense, please.

Yeah no Sh!+,

MC WAS #1 for a while.... then crashed and burned...

We've been ' also ran's for what seems like ever....... Don't hammer the Hammer, he has a 'ring;.

Perhaps the light has gone on to realize Stat is the one worth keeping... . We ink up Amare. the only flexibility we have to change this roster is to trade one/both of Nash or Barbo...

But it is not over with yet.... T minus 8 hrs, 3 mins and counting... What time is it in Chcago ??

The three way with Big Z going to Utah for Boozer would have been a good move - not sure why the trigger wasn't pulled on that. Maybe Kerr did overplay his hand if Hickson, Green, Big Z and the number 1 was on the board the whole time.

I still don't understand the Sixers reluctance to trade Iguodala and Dalembert now for Amare and JRich if they are trying to cut costs. There was a chance Amare opts out this summer so the savings would be huge.

I still hope a trade gets done but Eff the Heat if they are not offering Beasley for Amare - you watch that game last night and he is a talented player that would help the Heat more then Beasley and two future first round picks. In fact, Riley should have been offering Beasley, Jermaine and two first round picks for Amare, Collins and JRich for THIS season alone.

I still fail to see the logic of dealing Amare to the Cavs so we could then trade for Boozer.

Amare >>>>>>>>>> Boozer. I don't even think it's close. Forget about the numbers. Anyways, today in class I will not even be checking the wiretap for the first time in a week. I would be shocked if Amare is dealt. And based on local radio talk this morning, so would everyone else.

Good morning all. Am I the only one happy Amare is staying? Have you guys not watched Amare and ROLO play together? They have been getting better and better. No one showed-up last night to help Amare and ROLO. The entire team missed threes and turned the ball over all night long and still had a chance at the end.

I am optimistic about Amare, Rolo and Clark. We don't get better if we trade him. If he leaves for nothing, then complain, until then enjoy. Kerr has shown me that he won't do anything stupid with Amare. We can resign Amare any day, don't forget that. Do you think Kerr is going to lose his leverage with Stat and let him walk? C'mon, be serious.

Believe it or not I trust Kerr! :D

all this means is that amare has the upperhand. This isn't over until amare gets an extension, and until then amare could still opt out

There won't be a trade. What a crazy time. We went from near 100 percent certaintly Amare was gone to near 100 percent certainty in the span of a few hours. No one got this right. Well, I guess Suns123 called it. He would be rich if he were a betting man betting the odds in Vegas.

I firmly believed we would trade him and was told such. Everyone thought it was certain. Months of speculation and teasing for nothing.

Until this summer when we find out if Amare will sign and trade. Or we extend him. The only thing we know for sure is we will be doing this all over again.

I am happy Amare is staying. If Amare wants five years, give him four more years at 14 million a year plus his extension and insure the hell out of it.
