Kyrie is a big cancer that made a Luka team to miss playoffs and even play-in's. That is remarkable success. I think its a better one than not succeeding with Harden-Durant core. Kyrie always work hard to kill franchises.
Aside from that it is obvious that it is time to TRADE LUKA.
Literally HIGHEST MARKET for superstars. Teams trade 5 first-round picks and young assets for 30+years old players.
Mavs can get a solid young asset + 7 first round picks for Luka. An excellent way to rebuild very fast.
Look at Jazz for instance. They have a lot of picks, a star in Marknanen (Dirk-lite). They'll have cap space. They can easily get back into playoffs next year with combination of trade, draft, and FA signing. Or tank 1 more year and then splash.
Mavs should rebuild now or Luka will eventually leave for less assets in next two (miserable) years.
