Mavs are still clearly contenders. GTFO with that. Now the Cs do sort of look done, but they're missing PP, so we will see.

So the Clippers are pretty much the '05-'06 Suns + one guy who can block shots.

except that one guy who can block shots isnt a good defensive player. and i dont think they have the shooters or coach who can produce an all time great offense (statistically THE greatest offense), but yeah, they are similar. butler is a far cry from prime marion as well.

Agree on Jordan. It's amazing how highlight plays can brainwash an entire fan base. We all know his offense stinks but his post D is God awful, his rebounding is pretty pathetic for a center and the man is a foul machine. I know bigs are all overpaid these days due to a shortage of big bodies in the NBA but I have to wonder if the Clippers will regret giving him all of that money in a year or two.

whats funny is that the Clippers were actually a better defensive team with Kaman/Smith because they actually played with a sense of discipline and fundamentals. Jordan is just an athlete (a not very intelligent athlete at that) trying to play defense. unfortunately no one has told him that trying to block everything into the 83rd row isnt a good thing.

Rose doesn't even look like he's trying out there and Paul still can't really do anything on him.

If you've ever wondered what Shannon Brown would look like as a center...well...there you have it. lol

Rose never looks like hes trying though. even when he does a 360 double reverse under the basket layup he doesnt look like hes trying.

No...no way in hell. The hardcore Laker fans in the upper bowl wouldn't have allowed that.

BTW, for those of you with Prime Ticket, major backpedal job going on during the Clippers post-game. Those homeriffic commentators and analysts should come with reverse lights and make a beeping sound with the stuff they're tossing out on the air right now. Talk about a 180 from what they were saying during the preseason and the GSW game.

I didn't think so. Clippers fans making excuses by saying "Oh well, it's LA. A lot of the Chicago fans that were on the Jordan bandwagon are now here".

True, but the Suns would kill you in pick n rolls or pick n pops, this Clipper team only wants to make the highlight play. Teams are slowly exposing the Clippers because Paul's strength is the PnG, but problem is Griffin isn't the shooter David West is.

In fact in watching them, teams are jamming their attempts to run it...forcing CP into one on one situations like you saw against the Bulls.

What happened to all the Clipper hype!? I know they will have a good team but the hype was getting out of control in Los Angeles
