How about they give him the damn ball when he calls for it. They aren't even calling him out for pick and rolls.

Tony Parker is a top 5 player this year.

Absolutely destroyed Williams but who doesn't?

I've been saying he's a top 5 PG arguably even top 3 for two seasons now. He was incredibly slept on last year.

Nets are very mediocre, DWill, JJ and Wallace all underachieved and don't play well together. Only play that's been decent is Lopez. Looks like PJ will be gone after this season since they won't make the ECF and it's not really his fault.

He is more of an MVP candidate than CP3 in my opinion.

Agreed.

I used to doubt Parker as a PG, but he's more than made a believer out of me from last season to now

He's the 2nd best PG in the league. I'm thinking this year he's a top 5 player in the league.

He's a top 5 PG easy. Arguably the 2nd best PG in the league. Should get MVP votes.

Ha, he doesn't do that very often.

Capn'O, you're ahead on ppg and fg% in your bet. I don't know if you're going to get the assists though. Harden is such a playmaker on that team. Rooting for you! :P

The bet was for .438 FG%, 6.3 APG and 12.3 PPG. He needs at least +0.1 in each category to win, so he basically needs .448 FG%, 6.4 APG and 12.4 PPG. Considering that there are 29 games left in the season, he needs Lin to average 7 APG during those game to win the bet or at least 6.7 APG not to lose. That seems like a difficult task.

The bottom line is that Lin is a 12/6 guy. He was a 12/6 guy when we made the bet and he will be a 12/6 guy when the season ends. He's not the 14/7 guy or whatever people were claiming in December.

Well, he got too excited and fouled out in the 4th qtr. Now both Houston and GS are motivated. Tues's game will be a dog fight.

This year 2nd best isn't arguable. He and CP3 are just in a different class.

I'm glad that this was a bold call for me last year and people are coming around more this year. I've gone as far as to say he's been at minimum AS important as Duncan to the Spurs success. Suddenly the Knicks old idea where they wanted to pair Parker and Amare in that famous offseason appears BRILLIANT, even though I hated it back then.

P.S. Didn't see this game but the D-Wade dragon kick is absurd, Melo gets offensive fouls for minor contact with his off arm all the time...this dude Liu Kanged his way to the rim and got an And-One it appears!

Last year made me a believer. Only 4 players are averaging 20 points or more on 50% shooting or better in the league, Lebron, Durant,Wade and Tony Parker!

You could even make the case he's been the best point guard in the league this year and you wouldn't get much of an argument from me.

No StatsWizard.

0.438 = 43.8%

43.8% + 0.1% = 43.9% = 0.439

I'm ahead in two cats. Down in assists. Who could have possibly predicted that it might come down to assists since each were equally likely?

Yup. It was obvious to anyone that knew his skills that Lin began the season with an unusual scoring slump. I was always concerned about the assists because it just wasn't clear who was going to be the prime playmaker. Lin got an increasingly large role in Dec/early Jan but those roles appear to have stabilized. Parsons is a decent playmaker as well and gets a fair number of assists. Fantasy team likey.

As I've mentioned in that first thread, FG% and PPG are correlated, so they are really one (or 1.5) category. In any case, I had absolutely no priors about what "it will come down to". What I do know is:

1. The odds were heavily skewed in my favor to begin with.
2. Your chances of winning right now are far slimmer than they were when we started this.

I the fact that assists will eventually be your downfall consoles you in anyway, I'm happy for you.
