Lol I don't mind Lynch's answer's so much its ok to hate the media. You don't want to talk to them don't. I mean with all the poeple to interview why get on someone who doesn't want to cozy up with reporters. As for the coaching search why does it seem people are avoiding the Niners like the plague... could it because of how classy they were handling Harbaugh. The parties didn't get along they were probably both to blame but York talks about class yet they were dropping rumours before the season even began. Might be hard to entice coaches when they know thats how you treat folks.

I had completely forgotten that Parcells coached the Cowboys

@MaioccoCSN: #49ers have discussed Eagles WR coach Bob Bicknell for OC spot, and Florida is pursuing Ronald Curry for WR coach, reports @AlbertBreer.

At this point are they trying to get whoever they can?
Regardless of whether he's a good fit for the personnel?

The guy has never called a game. Is that really the direction we want to go right now? I might feel better about Chryst.

Guy in Crystal who had a bottom 4 offense or a guy who has not done it before I would choose unknown .

I wonder when they finally hire someone for OC if they will have the nerve to say he was our guy all along......

And everyone get their resumes together......there's a chance the next OC is on this board.

I've been to Europe. That makes me qualified, right?

I'm going to give them the 2015 season but they certainly deserve a healthy dose of skepticism over recent developments.
I also have a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach that the roster is going to turn over more than any of us thought 6 months ago.

But will you "win with class"?

I wonder if Shanny was really an option at OC. If so then I'd go in that direction, I don't know what other choice we have. Obviously we don't know who all is out there and what their qualifications are but I think this is a huge moment and we have to make the right choice.

This is the bottom man, this was our big move, we HAD to strike gold on offense with the OC and we've whiffed big time. I think with good coordinators (particularly on offense) Tomsula could be a good HC but this guy has been set up for failure.

and who is going to hold York and Baalke accountable for this mess?
Not only that but they created, in my uneducated opinion, a tainted image for future coaches to join here.

Sad, discussing a wr coach for oc, I hope they're embarrassed by the lack of qualified applicants beating down their door, but York has looked so arrogant in his pressers I doubt it.

York is the owner so he will be held accountable by himself and his family. Baalke will eventually be the one that pays for this though. I think eventually this mess loses him his job and he'll be the scapegoat, that will open the doors back up for good coaching candidates.

I don't see anything wrong with posotion coaches being promoted to coordinators, that is how they get to that position a lot of times, it just depends on if they are able to call a game and deal with multiple positions.
My problem with it is that we have an inexperienced coach that just happens to specialize in the defensive side of the ball, we HAD to get someone who would be able to basically have complete control over the offense. We whiffed on our top choices. My concern with a position coach is, what if they aren't ready? If they aren't ready then the whole team fails. It reminds me of the Hostler/Nolan combo.
