Umm.. You'd want the Suns to take the L for Bledsoe then? The Pels have nothing on that roster worth a damn.

You know there is a salary cap right? And that NO is at that limit right now with just Cousins. Even if they traded for Bledsoe somehow and sent out equal money to do it, there is no way on earth they could ever max out Hayward.

Im interested to see what McD or other say about this. Our package was much better than a glorified college scorer and a lousy pick

Lol. Sac is so bad. I get not wanting Knight, but if the rest of that deal is better than NO's (and it is), what do you care? If you are trading Cousins for unproven spare parts and youngsters/picks, you are committing to more than a 3 year rebuild. What are you realistically going to do with that cap space anyways?

Sure sounds like Phoenix didn't really want Cousins all THAT much.

Love it.

OK if we pushed the Kings on Knight which got them to hang up on us, then I question McD's ability as a GM.

Bledsoe is on a steal of a deal. He could fetch a decent asset imo. But honestly, trade him or not I really don't care since Cousins is off the market and because we didn't get him there's no way in hell we attract a guy like Butler or George now.

I really think the deal got done because Vivek is obsessed with the Warriors and he has been constantly looking for guys who have that hype (remember STAUSKAS). Vivek probably thinks Hield is the next Curry or something like that.

I think you're right, which would make sense as to why they would want Fournier from ORL, and Vlade is probably obsessed with Vucevic. They probably told McD it was Booker or no deal and of course he said no. I still can't believe it. Buddy f'n Hield... jesus.

Kings promise Boogie he won't be traded.

Kings tell Boogie they will Supermax him.

Kings refuse to trade Boogie to the Suns even though our offer was better.

Hmmm...Sounds like the Kings gave a big F-U to Cousins. We WILL NOT give you a supermax. We WILL NOT trade you to the team of your choice. We WILL trade you to whoever WE want and SCREW you out of 50 million!

If Knight's scrub ass was a dealbreaker for Cousins, I wouldve shipped Knight and a protected 1st for an expiring (Rondo) and sent him back to Sac.

I'm sure the trade wasn't focused purely on Knight (who is still better than Hield is right now btw). It was probably focused around Len and Warren and Knight was the throw-in. Those 3 are still WAY better than Hield and a 1st round pick.

No. This is stupid. Kings have almost no way of getting major FAs in the next few years. That type of rebuild won't work for them, particularly after Cousins. Even Gay wants to jump ship. The org's rep is awful and stars aren't going to look at the past years with Cousins and say "sign me up for that". Thus, the cap space doesn't mean much. Their rebuild is going to have to be around the draft.

If you don't want Knight around the team buy him out. But the cap space shouldn't stop you from accepting a much better deal. Galloway they are buying out. There are rumors on twitter they may try to buy out Evans also. Really all they are getting here is the picks. Casspi might be the 2nd best player in this trade for god's sake.

Yeah I'm kinda gettin that feeling too. We'll see if anything comes out from our front office about it. Just feels like Booker would be 'the guy' for the Kings since he has a million comparisons to Klay Thompson (however accurate or inaccurate those are).
