If Melo does not get traded then I can't make a SF for 2K my career. I will be stuck with a center. Or maybe I go SG and bench THJ.

Re: Me7o Thread: Hoodie edition
I forgot about Dotson. Add him to the core we are trying to build and make better. Tired of worrying about free agants. Build from within first.
At this point just run with Melo. There's not true traction. If we are lucky he balls out knicks are winning and a team wants to go all out for him. He's started a new hoodie Melo brand that makes him seem like he's in a different zone.
If we have to start the season with distractions so be it. As if we thought he would get traded before camp. Nothing never happens with perfect timing for us.

I imagine this is the reaction from many
I'm just glad to see us not caving into some outrageously bad trade offer like we have in the past. If Melo wants to stay the year and then exercise his ETC instead of playing this year on a playoff team, then so be it.
Me too. It's what I said was the smart approach even while PJax was here. We need to learn from the mistakes of the Tyson / Shump deals. I don't expect a major haul but stop getting worse in these deals with nothing to show for it.
Shorter Contracts. Assets. Prospects.
Not just in the Melo deal. Lee & LFT too. We can get cheap "veteran locker room presence".

Re: Me7o Thread: Hoodie edition
melo ain't gon hurt nothing. the pups like him. and even with trade rumors looming, he's working with them as if he's coming to work on monday. i respect dude.
if we can't find a deal, the future still is another direction. i don't see why him being part of it for another season or two is a problem so long as he understands the program.
similarly, if we can find him a deal that gives him a shot to win now and nets us assets... awesome.
the drama around it all feels so unnecessary. vitriol hurled in either direction feels unnecessary and premature.

i was speaking more about in the public and media than around here. i know the drill. being levelheaded and rational isn't why most of us log onto a message board to discuss sports. virtual hood barber shop.

i bet being a mod here is more stressful that 90% of our day jobs. they probably head for the hills.
i have to take breaks just from reading comments on the posts i actually care about. can't imagine having to police them all.

oh, that's guaranteed 60 Ls and a toxic malcontent on an unmovable contract. probably end up having to waive ryan anderson just because. pray you got maaaaaaad pix in the move.

Re: Me7o Thread: Hoodie edition
Play Anderson at SF. He is tall so he can block and defend the opposing SF, with Willy at C and KP at the 4 we will block everything and once again become a dominant defensive team.
