Wow, just wow. Lakers somehow land à franchise talent and quickly reset. There really weren’t any better offers for Luka? AD is great, but he’s just as injury prone and AD / Kyrie doesn’t exactly scream finals. This just delays an inevitable rebuild.

You just know Luka is gonna be in the best shape of his life next season after spending an offseason with LeBron. The Lakers just fall down a flight of stairs and at the bottom there's a top 5 player waiting to help them back up. It makes no sense how they keep doing this.

I wanted to make a "Lakers fans googling if you can hoop with type2 diabetes" joke and I know it's not even gonna land cause you're right. Luka is gonna show up next offseason with a 6pack and David Robinson shoulders. The days of him hooping looking like a cherry cause his blood pressure is spiking are over. He is going to reach his peak in LA.

Not wanting to pay someone $70M a year is hardly doing someone dirty. Poor guy will have to settle for 50-60M a year instead. Heartbreaking

I always said Luka would become a Laker but this is one of the worst NBA trades that I can remember.

AD remains one of the most overvalued players in the NBA, though this also shows how having stars puts you in an advantageous position on the trade market. But Dallas's window is closed. They are cooked.

This reminds me of a bigger version of the Ray Allen trade to the Sonics, where the Bucks got a close-to-washed Gary Payton in exchange.

You don't trade a young superstar for this sort of package. You just don't.
