2 words, David Kahn.

Ever saw him play? No? might just want to not speak then.

And yes I have seen him play and he is not worth 13 million dollars. He is decent over in Europe, which shouldn't equate to 13 million dollars, especially when you have a crowded frontcourt that you don't know what you're going to do with.

I think it's a good move. The dude is a brute force on offense. I could see him very well dominating opposing substitutes on offense regularly. He'll probably be limited to 20-25 minutes a game but he'll hustle, score and get to the line a lot in those minutes. The only way you can compare Love and Pekovic is that both are hustle players.
Just when the opposing frontcourt starters need a break you bring on Pekovic and try to roll with him in the low-post. I like that thought.

He had 21 pts, 9-9 FG's, 3-5 FT's in 18 minutes on that game

Dude is one of the best players in the best leagues, and now he's coming to a league with a significantly less clogged lane area.

13 million a year? No. 13 mill over 3 years is a great gamble on a good prospect.

Ignorance is a bliss. Unless you are a GM. And for the league well being its really good that most of the posters in this thread are just that posters and not GMs. Just because you don't know the guy or his stats don't look that impresive it doesn't mean he sucks.

I'm willing to bet that when Spurs sing Tiago Splitter these same posters will say another great move by Spurs. Or maybe they don't know who splitter is and will say dumb things all over again.

Getting a C that can score for 13/3 is awfull? Not in the league where Diop can get 6+ per year or Curry can get 10+. Centres are always overpaid. To me Peković is a bit smaller but more skilled version of Gortat who is making 5+ per and no one considers him overpaid. Peković will do a lot of things Jefferson can do but at 1/5 of the price. He is not as good as Al but with his strenght and post moves he will pose trouble for opposing teams. Great singing by the Wolves.

He's a terrible rebounder for his size. And he fouls a lot.Dude just can't keep his hands straight up.Scoring shouldn't be a problem though cause even for Nba's standards he's damn strong and has a soft touch.Wolves overpaid him but that's propably the only way they could get him as he could easily find 3 millions in europe too.By the way he's far from being an All star, let's be serious.

spurs are going to sign splitter for the MLE

now pekovic, is gettin paid 7m a season from wolves.....thats a difference in price range for both players, maybe this will affect splitter signin with the spurs why pekovic is gettin paid more then him...

then again splitter should be earnin MLE anyway since thats the price range of top3 lottery picks salary are over the years, if he had no europe obligations and declared earlier over the years when he was eligible he wouldve been a lottery pick....

then again spurs did one time paid the GOAT CENTER RASHO 7m a season when he was at the spurs.

Pekovic is getting 13 million over 3 years, that's a little more than 4 million a year, not 7 million. Basic math people.

but in all seriousness not a terrible signing. Considering he has good hands and a soft touch he should be a serviceable backup and make up for some of the points they'll lose when they trade Al.

im a born & raised Floridian and life-long Magic fan. But im trapped in Minneapolis. If the Twolves can actually improve I might have to go watch some more games. hopefully Kahn has a plan and they can put a good product on the floor. The Twolves need their fans as this is mostly known as Vikings and Twins territory. Not that many people here who I know care about the Twolves .

He'll make for a good career backup.

Well... They've been planning to bring this guy over for a while. Not exactly a surprise.

Not a bad deal - if he's a bust, well..... not like you were going to spend the cap space on anyone else.
