Re: Fire Spoelstra
I'm quite disturbed actually
Is Spo stupid and incompetent enough to do the same mistake repeatedly?
or
Is he doing what Riley instructs him as a stage for Riley's return / other replacement coach
(Firing / Demoting Spo wont look like the SVG incident)

Y'all are just mad because y'all don't got swagger like Lebron has. It is a scientific fact that Bron's swagger has the power to transform an otherwise level-headed adult male into a jealous woman.

When Big Z/Kwame 1.2 are your best centers you know you need help. Also Udonis Haslem is really really overrated on defense.

Re: Fire Spoelstra
OMG!
Are we going to have the Spo hate after each of our 14 or so losses this season.
Hornets are good. They came out pumped and hit a lot of shots. CP3 is the best point in the game and we lost because we couldn't hit 3pointers today - that's going to happen occasionally.
Really look at yourselves.

Look, a team with LeBron, Wade and Bosh should not live and die based upon the three point shooting of a few random scrubs. Seriously, it is that simple. The team has the two best players in the damn world (+Bosh) and you are blaming the three point shooters for the loss. Is Spo. really drawing up plays for House to take the last shot, HOUSE? Why is Arroyo even attempting to guard CP3, ever, if the team has LeBron, Chalmers and Wade?!? The team still does not run enough. LoL! Spo. sucks.

And once again, you are blaming the players for a loss. BUT, when the Heat win you give most of the credit to Spo. How darn convenient!

Re: Fire Spoelstra
No - it's always the players win or lose.
Why do you thnik we have brought in Miller, JJ and House. It's to draw up plays where they are passed the ball for wide open threes to knock down.
No-one could be stupid enough to think otherwise. If they don't knock down the open threes then teams pack the paint and stop Wade and Lebron getting to the basket making them jump shot shooters a lot of the time.
You really have a problem with Spo - if it's wade or Lebron taking the shots then you claim spo has no idea his plan is giveit to wade/Lebron and get out of the way. When other players take the shots it's - it should be Wad and Lebron.
You overstate the coach's power during a game. Game time is foremost player time. Knock the shot down - the coach can't do that for them.
I spend my time defending Spo because he's actually pretty good and people like you and BronBron are just coach haters. You were a Beas excuser - though we'd get rid of you when he left but sadly not.
Just to make it clear to you as you seem a little slow. I think the players are the ones with the most sway during GT, the coach can call the plays but it's the players who need to execute. A coach's important time is non GT - prep, coaching etc...
Got it?
Our 3pt shooting - open shots was very bad.

Re: Fire Spoelstra
So in your two losses where your biggest weakness got exposed (PG) you guys want to fire your coach although you guys had a serous chance to win both of those games?!
Talk about overreacting. Joel is serviceable at C because when he plays like crap you guys have still won games. However, I can't say the same for Arroyo....
Start Chalmers last night and you win (and that's despite several guys playing like crap last night). Settle down Miami, back away from the cliff.

Re: Fire Spoelstra
It took Spo 12 minutes to adjust to the Hornets...we got spanked in the 1st and won the other 3 quarters...that's on the coach and poor adjustments.

The Heat have LeBron and Wade who can both play and defend pg's extremely well. PG is not the Heat's biggest weakness. The large weakness for the Heat is the frontcourt. There is no reason for Arroyo to ever ever ever be on a top tier pg when you have LeBron, Wade and Chalmers who is also a good defender. It is jut laughable to the extreme.

And, why the heck is Arroyo starting. James Jones would be better starting at the two or three. Wade and LeBron run the offense 99% of the time. Starting Arroyo is pointless as his shooting range/consistency and height are less than that of Jones.

This thread still makes no sense. If losing games means you should be fired, then every coach in the league should be fired before the end of the season. Stop overreacting. The weaknesses we knew coming into the season have finally had an impact. Now we adjust, that's all. You don't fire a coach, you let him adjust. When we had those lockdown 3rd quarters on Lopez and Dwight, Spo got credit for making good adjustments. Give the guy a chance. If by Game20 we're still getting bullied on the boards and are still out of sync on offense, then start complaining. For now, we're a damn good team with a young coach who has some issues to address in the coming practices. PEACE.

In your first loss Rondo had what, 19 assists? In your 2nd loss CP3 had 17 assists? You lost last night's game by 3 despite very poor rebounding and giving up 17 assists at the PG position.....that's not on Joel/Bosh you know. It seems to me your biggest problem is Arroyo, not your frontcourt.

Do you even watch basketball? Rondo is averaging like 15+ assists per game. CP3 is a top PG and usually puts up a ton of assists. In other words, those two players do that all the freaking time to everybody not just the Heat.
It should be noted that CP3 was slowed greatly once SPOron aka Spo. aka The Moron put Wade on CP3. This was a darn no-brainer to anyone with a clue. The Heat wont be finding a defensive perimeter player better than Wade or LeBron so this notion that the Heat need a PG to stop CP3 and Rondo is utter nonsense.
The Heat need to rebound and defend the paint. The Heat need to fastbreak more. The Heat need to bring Arroyo off the bench and start Jones to add an extra legit. shooter and improve spacing with the starting unit. The Heat need to get a real offense that has ball movement and utilizes LeBron and Bosh in the paint a lot more.
PG is not a huge issue for any team with LeBron and Wade starting simultaneously. And I don't get why people continue to make this claim.

Iputsomepantson wrote:Spoelstra will have to figure out how to integrate Bosh's talent better into our game. If he doesn't we're not going to win a championship. Lebron and Wade are great, but against the C's and Lakers we will need all of our offensive players integrated into the offense at the top of their game. The 15 foot open jumper is not Bosh at the top of his game, Bosh needs looks inside the paint with his speed integrated into the play design.
Like I said before, it's not a matter of winning games, it's a matter of winning championships. We have no time to waste on this squad. Spoelstra needs to fully integrate Bosh into our offense this season, because if he doesn't we won't win a championship. Granted, the players didn't play up to par either in this game, but did you see many of the shots we were getting? Jump shots. That's on the play calling, not on the players. Spoelstra is a good coach, but I have little faith in his ability to deliver us a championship.

When Wade and LeBron are on the floor together Arroyo is a waste of space in my opinion. Your best lineup in my opinion would be with either House at PG or move LeBron to PG and JJ at SF.
