Did ESPN's Chris Brousard just say Peja/Thornton for Rip?
Deal makes little sense to me (Peja/Rip does, but why add Thornton from NO's POV?)...
Did anyone else hear this?

Thornton doesn't need to be involved...unless Detroit is sending back someone like Daye, Jerebko, White or a 1st rd pick...

I don't see it. I think there's a very legitimate shot Melo signs in New Orleans in the offseason and I don't see the Hornets botching up even the possibility for Rip freakin' Hamiliton.

New Orleans doesn't have any sort of caproom to even entertain the idea of adding Melo.
Paul/Bayless/Pondexter/ Ariza/West/Okafor = 47.36 million alone, then they have a bunch of QOS that they will probably offer

I didn't forget anything, West has a player option and I'm sure he'll opt out if there isn't going to be a lockout.

Unless the Clippers have completely given up on Kaman, I don't see how Peja can get what the Hornets would want from the Clippers.
Okafor and Peja for Davis and Kaman makes a lot of sense if they are about to trade Chris Paul now that his vvalue has gone up (trade rumours gone down).
That makes a lot of sense?
In the bizarro world does.

Big assumptions, but assuming the cap stays close to the same, and assuming the Hornets are willing to let David West walk, yes, the Hornets could make a max deal or at least close to Anthony. The only salary we took on was Bayless. The Ariza deal actually cut the salary of Collison while Posey and Ariza made about the same.
