Dwight still wants to be traded.

Gee, it was such a great idea to fire one of the best coaches in the league to try to accomodate this mental midget.

Get ready to be the laughingstock of the league for the next 10 years boys!

I had a feeling about this. I think the organization just wanted to clean house altogether. New coach, GM and star player. They'll make a trade before next season and start fresh with young talent. Only way I see a positive outcome, that is, unless Dwight signs longterm.

You guys just blow with the wind. Advice - Not EVERY news story that comes out is true. Even the one with "sources." Just a little something to help your sanity.

stop posting that dwight still wants out. check the source before you post the same thing every single page. EVERY one of these "reports" are from the same source, Sheridan. meanwhile, we have had 2 or 3 different ones stating that they expect dwight to be more open to a long term extension with orlando

Pretty sure Alex wouldn't have fired Stan if Dwight still wanted to get traded .. If Dwight hadn't given Alex signs of re-signing, I'm sure SVG would still be our coach next season.

Donnie Walsh would be a nice start if true.

I dont think so, the players locker room is splitted, we needed a new HC to group them again.

I'd like to stay away from internal promotions to GM. This would include Foyle. While I think he is a smart guy, we need someone new, a new voice to come in here and start fresh. If Walsh is interested hire him as president and have him pick out the GM, and then I trust that those two will make the right decision on the next HC.

I could very well see this going down like this:

We hire Walsh, and bring in Pritchard. Those two, IMO, would make the right decision on the HC, whether it is Shaw, Malone, or someone we haven't even heard being mentioned.

it's unbelievable how he thought he improved the roster every year he was here. what was going thru his head as he watched duhon turk richardson and old vince carter. not to mention lewis making 20+ million while putting up 9 ppg.

I've been saying for awhile now, most teams don't get as lucky as we do. We've had more great players come to ORL than most franchises do in a lifetime. Shaq, Penny, T-Mac, and now Dwight. We've had 4 franchise players in 23 years, more than most teams can say, and we've squandered them all. That speaks volumes about the ownership imo. They may know how to run a business, but running a basketball team is not their strong suit. And I believe Dwight sees that and is frustrated by it.

To all fair weather magic fans,

The writing is all over the wall. Believe what u wanna believe with all these fake reports/reporters and all their sources.

Here are all the points:
-Dwight had summer BBQ last summer stating be wants to win a Championship with the magic and he loves Orlando
-Magic extend Otis & SVG in the summer after BBQ
-BVW tells Otis & SVG Dwight wanted them both fired
-Dwight gets upset and asks for a trade because of it
-BVW steps down because he was about to fired even though is apart of the Devos family
-Otis & SVG are pissed and want Dwight traded
-Alex Martins steps in on behalf of the Devos family and strips Otis of gm duties and clearly sends a message to SVG & Otis they will be fired at the end of the season
-SVG & Otis start throwing Dwight under the bus
-Dwight gets upset that the Magic/Alex Martins/Devos family doesn't stand up for him regarding SVG & Otis among critics/reporters claiming he isn't wanting to root on his teammates while he is hurt
-Magic fire SVG & Otis only tells u that their telling Dwight to get healthy and keep mouth shut and they'll take the brunt of the unpopular SVG firing

Believe me words and actions speak volumes. Martins has said we are looking for Championship experience. U wouldnt say that if we are planning on trading Dwight and rebuilding.

Whom ever we hire as the GM will speak which way we are heading. If we are in rebuild mold expect Dwight to have asked for a trade and we hire inexperienced Foyle.

If we hire Walsh/Pritchard Dwight will most likely extend his contract and expect major changes to our roster.

All this speculation of Dwight wanting to leave is nonsense. Their just adding to the story of last season, SVG/Otis firing.

I am 90% sure with what all has been said by Martins is that he talked to Dwight and is continuing to speak to him with all what is going on but to keep it all internally and let him do the dirty work.

We are going to hire Walsh as head of Basketball Operations, hire a well proven GM clean house. Speak to Phil Jacson and be turned down to hire most likely Shaw.

You fire Stan because the threw the organization under the bus, it has nothing to do with Dwight staying or going. You do not keep a coach that sabotages your chances at keeping the franchise player, it is that simple. Frankly as much as i liked him as a coach i thought he should've been gone immediately, he was lucky it was close to the playoffs and not at the start of the season or he likely would have been.

I didn't read too deeply into the reports, so I have to ask......Otis has completely left the organization? As in, he's no longer the Pres. of Basketball Operations, as well?
