That's under "Bryan Colangelo"

Anyway, I have to say the multiple choke jobs this season. Maybe somewhat fittingly, the Leafs gave this city the ultimate choke job when all is said and done.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff? Demar can't drive in the lane? Do you think he's top 15 in FT attempts by magic? Also, he might not have yo-yo handles but Demar's handle is fine, that's why his turnovers are average for his position even though his usage is very high. And you should see his shooting % in the lane/paint, it's very good. You don't get to do that if you have "no handles" and "can't drive in the lane".

And his 3 pt shot might be poor at 28% but he's steadily climbing.

Ah, what's the point, carry on.

I stopped arguining with Danchan's " gang "
They will never be satisfied. If DD improves everything in his game, they will still look for reasons to hate him.

The Lowry trade I can accept... but I really don't know what the hell this franchise was thinking giving away another pick for Telfair.

DD's contract put one foot onto the treadmill and there was no reason whatsoever to offer it- his is the only deal to run past 2015 and he is pretty much the last type of wing I'd want on the court with JV. Signing this deal after drafting Ross to play SG right away was doubly perplexing.

On the court, I would say that going with Aaron Gray over JV in any situation angered me but the Laker game topped everything. I was embarrassed for DC, so many people watched that game and saw how dumb he can be. Inserting Gray over JV was silly enough, but begging Gray to trap Kobe was just sad.

What leads you to believe that "just blow everything up" was even an option? Or that BC would have any ability to execute on that? This team had missed the playoffs for 5 straight seasons, we weren't going to blow anything up at that point.

Clearly nobody is happy with the resulting season, but blowing it up and rebuilding around JV is fantasy. And as big of a JV fan as I am, it's a pretty terrible idea as well.

I didn't make my time frame clear. I don't mean we should have blown things up instead of offering the extension. I was thinking of the team after that 4-19 start, after the accelerated fail. At that point, if DeMar was not locked up, I think you scrap everything and we should have had that option- AB's contract in itself was not a killer but adding DD, another immovable contract, meant we were pot-committed. We became buyers, and now we're stuck with what we've got for the next couple years.

JV is not all-world but he's a massive piece. Crappy bigs are being fazed out but good bigs are not- in fact, they're even more valuable now than ever and you can't find guys like him anywhere. You can't tell me that we're better off the way we are than we would be if we had been sellers rather than buyers this past winter. No chance. We would not necessarily be able to build a better team than the treadmill team we've got, but there is a chance it could have been done right- and somebody capable of doing it right might have been interested in the Pres/GM job.

I still don't understand what was "intellectually dishonest" about his statement. It was basic math, the % of wins out of the full season. He was right. Everyone uses winning % when talking about ball. I mean, all this talk about playing .500 ball is exactly the same thing.

Surely you jest. The minute improvement he cited was a result of a 5 game win streak in the last 5, meaningless games of the season. What he did is the epitome of intellectually dishonest...he's taking the position we've improved, completely ignoring the context of the 'improvement' just to suit his agenda. The worst part about it is the lack of subtlety though...a complete grasping at straws...as a fan it was insulting. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Dwane Casey.

Alan Anderson really pissed me off when we were playing the Heat and went to overtime. The chucker was 1-8 in overtime.

Actually, I said BC's ending presser was my answer..but it's more like that was the last straw for me. The Drummond miss infuriated me at the time...I can't remember a time when I've been more pissed at management.

All you're doing with this hypothetical scenario where we don't extend DeMar and start 4-19 is adding to the "fantasy" of it all. Come on.

And again, where in the history of this franchise have we ever been able to be "sellers" while not getting completely **** reamed in the proceedings? You trust BC to do this, or are you adding more hypotheticals in some mystery GM that swoops in and saves the day? This angle doesn't exist. It sucks, but that's the reality of the situation.

If we don't extend DeMar he walks for nothing or we end up spending 11-12 mil per to keep him. We did fine with his extension and I feel that will be the prevailing opinion once next season is underway.

Casey for sure, it's frustrating to watch him troll our lineup night in night out. BC too, as always. He speeds up our rebuilding model, no offense to Jonas (I'm a big fan) but it's not like we just drafted a Irving, or Davis, a star in the making, then surround him with win now players. We speed things way too fast. I'm not pissed off by Andrea, he is what he is. There's no surprise there.

To be fair BC is trying to save his job. I think its the mentality of MLSE that **** colangelo. They aren't that foward looking. Hopefully Tim L can change that, but we are stuck for awhile now.

50% BC, 50% DC. DC was BC's hiring so I'll vote BC.

Not a fan of this BCDC combo though...

Do you blame Dwane Casey for hindering DD's development in 2011-2012? Not a lot of people seem to think so. Everyone expected DD to have a breakout year, but as soon as Casey got hired, DD slowly got worse.

The Gay trade, so I voted BC. I was pretty irate after that. Although I would have liked to be able to vote for multiple options.

Half and half, DD last year added the 3 and that opens up his game more, then this year Casey wanted him to attack more, abandon the 3s, and rebound more. So what I'm saying is that Demar is basically doing what Casey instructed him to do, and so far Casey's done a terrible job at it. The other half is Demar himself, he's just not having it all together, while doing something great in somewhere but in return he gets worse in other element of the game (namely defense). It's his 4th season, by now he should have it all together or maybe he's simply has a low ceiling which explains his inability to improve everything all at once.

Do people really believe that coaching has an effect on player development? Having a bad coach did not stop Kyrie Irving from becoming a star. It did not stop Durant from becoming the league's best scorer. Having Mike Brown did not impede Lebron's progress as one of the greatest players of all time and it should not stop Derozan from becoming the star that some people think he is. The problem is the player himself and in the case of Derozan, it should come as no surprise as he still maintains most of his weaknesses going all the way back from USC.

Lets not forget the starting point of this math.
We were 22-60 :o
Improved 7%
Supposedly tanked to a 23-43
Improved 7% from a tank job to accelerated rebuild
7% improvement was intellectual dishonesty because the actual records were disgustingly turrible.
