He can be sent to the d league, but he still must occupy a roster spot if you want to keep him.

I had this convo with someone before the NBA should really look into a MLB type program to get more interest in the Dleague and so teams can take time to develop talent. Maybe allow teams to have 2-5 dleague deals to help teams whose player(s) are out with month or year long injuries fill a need with someone they've been developing.

yeah, if a team wants to pay the d-league salary of a player they should have his rights

3-4 D-League roster spots would be smart

Look in the training camp thread. Diogu made some really nice, crisp passes, and he was finishing with both hands at the basket.
