Lol this guy thinks he can get the MAX? No one else is offering it/ even has the money to offer besides Philly who definitely aren't offering him the max just to sabotage their tanking.

PHX has more leverage, either you take 12m which is a solid offer due to his injury woes, OR kick rocks.

Not sure what Rich Paul and Bledsoe are thinking. If they truly think he'll be a 'top 10 player' one day then sign the contract, possibly maneuver it to a 2-3 year deal and by the time his contract is over and he's in his prime he'll be the "top 10 player" they pegged him to be. PHX and other teams would be throwing him max deals.

The QO would pay him 3.5 million for the year. If he took that then he'd need a contract of 4 years 56.5 million just to match his losses on this year. Then factor in he'd also get into free agency again another year later and the fact that hes missed substantial amounts of games in 2 of his 4 seasons and it just seems like an extremely risky move.

He's gonna either take the 4/48 or maybe do a 2 year deal worth a little bit more like a 2/25-30 deal.

On the outside I see nothing wrong with what Phoenix is doing. They're letting the league set his value and no one wants to offer him a big deal... Other rfa got offers...it's not there fault.

There's plenty if offseason left!

To be realistic, if Bledsoe was a Unrestricted free agent he'd get a max offer, if not a couple.

Nobody in there right sense of mind would offer Bledsoe a max deal with his history of injuries. I don't care if he's a RFA or UFA. The Suns could at least offer 50 million for 4 years, that at least sounds more sexy.

What difference does his status make? His RFA status isn't preventing offers. If someone offered it, phx either matches or they don't. Not that anyone HAS max dollars willing to spend.

Here is the deal if Bledsoe will not take the Qualifying Offer because the Suns know next season Eric Bledsoe falls into an area UFA of the Salary Cap where his max offer will be 13.5 mil that is just 1.5 mil more than the Suns are offering.
For some strange reason this is the year that Eric could be able to be paid more under RFA clause.
No one is going to risk 48 million dollars to make an extra 6 with 2 blown out knees and being a career backup that got his chance to score a career best in points.
I think of Eric Bledsoe and Jeremy Lin both the same as above average combo guards and both are around 10-12 mil max

I cant believe he rejects 4/48 offer. He is either crazy or delusional.

His max is 13.5 for the first year only, his contract can rise by 7.5% every year which means by year 4 he could be making a hair over 17. The Suns want him to take 13.5 his first year and take annual declines in his salary by 7.5% instead which would equate to $48 mill over 4 years.

Suns and Bledsoe on the Verge of Irreparable Relationship

Post#90 » by RSCD3_ » Wed Jul 30, 2014 5:30 pm

Bledsoe was a glorified stat padder on the phoneix teams

He's essentially Jeremy Lin with worse shooting and no pg instincts at all

He's lucky that he isn't getting paid 4/36 he is basically a longer George hill

Isiah Thomas is better anyways

It's good to see there are still those out there that value defense.

lol @ Bledsoe even if Suns say they are going to match if some teams wants to offer you 12-15 then why do they care if Suns match. Suns didnt hinder his worth. He needs to be mad at his agent if he wants more than he is worth. Get that one year contract, ball out like there is no tomorrow and try to get it next year.

Wouldn't be surprised if Rich Paul tries to entice the Cavs into making an S&T offer if the Love deal doesn't work out.

Fire your agent Bledsoe, some guy without any track record or education - a product of nepotism and flash over hard work.

Secure your future and your fam's future by signing what Curry and Kyle Lowry signed, get paid, move on, take the Suns to the playoffs and prove your max.

Circumstantial evidence via Suns FO's offseason transaction suggest that their was a chance they would let him go if a MAX offer was made.
- the signing of Isaiah Thomas
- drafting Ennis
- Dragic due for a contract next year
- Goodwin being encouraged to play combo guard

Gordon Hayward, who is a shoe in for Utah and was also promised to be MATCHED no matter how much, was offered max by Charlotte .... yet Bledsoe didnt get one.

I think... teams have concerns about his health, thats about it, and Suns offer of 4/48 is the best on the table and no other team are willing to offer that and above.

Why not just offer Bledsoe 4 years $61M max deal with a team option on the last year that leaves it only partially guaranteed. If they structured it that way, they could essentially guarantee Bledsoe the same $48M they're offering now while giving him upside in his last year if he performs like he thinks he will. If he's injured / doesn't perform the Suns get out of the deal early.

I don't actually blame Bledsoe for trying to maximize his deal because you see what happened with Curry who took a similar discount but he needs to concede something. No one is giving him a five-year max fully guaranteed.

More impact than Parsons and Hayward. Deserves the max more than they did.

Good GMs
vs
Bad GMs

Suns really didnt overpay for average talent this offseason like most GMs did.
Frye 8mil? let him walk
Sign Isiah Thomas 20ppg guy for 6mil.

most teams just spent stupid cash
