I like what I'm seeing from KO on both sides of the ball. He takes it to the cup and plays hard nosed D. Beal should be taking notes. If he starts hitting 3s, then he should definitely be starting.

He only does one thing relatively well... and he isn't even doing that tonight. Why people think he is worth a damn escapes reason. The fact that Randy plays him when we WERE relatively healthy also speaks to his sustained madness. :nonono: :banghead:  :noway:

He's a scorer who is shooting 45% from 3 and 48% from the field. If you want to play Garrett Temple over him when Beal returns, be my guest but he is one-dimensional player. That one dimension can help a lot of teams and has helped us this year. Unfortunately you're playing him starters minutes now so his weaknesses really shine along with his one strength.

Would rather neither play, but if you told me one had to...Temple...Temple plays defense and at least passes. W/e shooting you get from him is gravy. There is a reason we have a horribly negative on/off when Neal plays. Offense bogs down and we're always a rotation late on defense. Shooting isn't the only part of offense that matters. Guys who pound the rock to no avail are not desirable.

At some point, Randy is just going to have to pull the plug on Wall and Gortat, There is no way we are coming back on this team.

Porter: 6 FGA in 23 minutes.

He'll occasionally show flashes, but I'm not convinced that Porter will ever have the confidence to be a #3 option on offense. He can't create his own shot, and he's easily run off the 3 point line (like virtually every other Wizard). :-/

This team is such ass

I honestly think you could replace everyone besides Wall and Gortat with random NBA scrubs collected from other teams (like an expansion draft) and they'd be exactly as good

Damn, we need to stay within striking distance of that 8th seed and we aren't.

Okay, perhaps his lack of activity could be attributed to him playing through an injury. We really can't afford to lose him for any stretch of time while Beal and Anderson are out.

Oubre looked really good.

If Kelly continues to be aggressive and make shots, don't see why we should play Temple anymore.

Not saying we're anywhere near this point, but why would he be starting over Beal and not Porter.

If Kelly looks like he's going to break out, I'd try to trade Porter for Noel

I did not say he should be starting over Beal. We go small with Dudley at the 4. Porter should slide over and Oubre at the 3.
Now that you mentioned it, it might do some good to bring Bradley off the bench. Maybe, he can get to the rim more against scrubs...doubt it though.

So Porter off the bench? I could see that if he doesn't start playing more aggressively, Otto certainly needs to start playing better

I said from the beginning that it should be KO at the 3 and either dudley or porter at the 4 but no one listened because kid is "not ready to contribute"

He's like Porter in that he'd be much better with the starters. He looks his worst when he's forced to create on his own--and Neal and Sessions aren't ever going to give him any good looks. Oubre can defend starting level wings--he's just got to learn how not to foul. He's got a fantastic physical build for an SF and he's not even hit the gym yet.

Porter would be looking a lot better with Nene starting, but he's very hit and miss with the small ball unit.

Kelly doesn't need to start. But he needs to be in the regular rotation, especially with Beal out. He should be getting 20 minutes a night.

There have been so many games where we were totally flat and should have used Oubre. He has an infectious motor.
