Man, better watch out, Portland may trade Crabbe for Demarcus straight up and outbid us.

We should do that trade. But maybe try to squeeze a draft pick or 1 other San Antonio player depending on the player

I haven't heard any trade rumors of Demarcus Cousins to the Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns is 1st team I can recall with trade rumor of possibility of getting Cousins. If Cousins is cool with going to the Suns, Than come on Cousins would be cool with coming to the Magic. The Magic are nothing special right now, BUT NEITHER ARE THE SUNS.

Word is that they will trade everyone on the roster before considering AG. He would only be traded in the package for a superstar deal. As of now he is off the trade market and the plan is to move him back to the 4 after Ibaka is dealt. That is what should have happened since the beginning but the Ibaka trade complicated things. FO is trying to get a starting wing by trading Ibaka and fillers to start alongside AG at the PF. Run the rest of the season like that, see how it goes and get the highest possible pick.

I was kidding around. The rumor you linked was from a discussion that happened before Christmas, before the Kings declared they would be resigning Cousins. So we'll see, that's more than a month ago.

Re: The Trade Thread II
I agree with tanking, but if we have a shot of getting Demarcus, He's a franchise guy and we need to do it. He wouldn't make us better right away. He would need a little time to adjust to Orlando on and off the court. We could still lose enough games the rest of the year with Demarcus and still get a top 8 pick in the draft. But to land Demarcus and draft a potential superstar in the 1st round, We could be nasty good next year.

Any deal with the Spurs should include Kyle Anderson, too. That kid has potential to be a great glue guy, too.

There are no amount of assets on this roster, including our pick, that would net us D.C.

I was trying to work out a deal and it's impossible without including one of their key pieces. Green would be the most likely candidate I believe. So, Serge for Murray, Green and maybe a 1st?

If you trade for Murray does put Elf on the chopping block?

If we got Murray, Kyle Anderson and a draft pick from the Spurs lol we rip them off. If we got the Spurs to do that, great for us.

The only way the trade works.
Doubt they get rid of green though.

Re: The Trade Thread II
I guess I haven't seen him play much but I'm kind of shocked at all the praise for Dejounte Murray. Especially with Elf emerging, I think we should still go for a 3 not a point guard.

Would the Spurs be willing to part with Murray? I'd take it, but seems far fetched.

we have no shot. But he is a franchise guy? how has that been working for him up to now? a lot of money paid, but not many wins

If it were Jamal Murray I'd be all over it. Haven't really seen much out of Dejounte yet though.

The Trade Thread II
I can't believe people want to trade Ibaka and get stuck with another career rotational player on a bloated contract. People honestly want to be capped out with Crabbe, Biyombo, Fournier, with Elf and AG's contracts coming up in a year? That's worse case scenario. Give me someone on a rookie contract and a pick before I take on that contract. The only way I'd do it is if I'm trading Biyombo for him.
