they need to run the offense through Ayton and just tell Booker that's the way it is, the offense shouldn't be run through Book he just hasn't been good enough for that to work. it's rare you can do that through a 2 guard Kobe, Jordan, are about it, and book is not at that level, yet...

Running the ball to Kobe was a disaster...

Lakers were a championship team when Kobe played off of others rather than control what others were doing...

Kobe playing off the triangle offense and Shaq.... led to rings because he wasn't making his team mates "worse", he was playing a role... star role sure... but still he wasnt "creating" at will and others play werent dependent whether Kobe would involve them, Phil Jackson's triangle and coaching was ideal for that


MJ.... again same as Kobe's obviously.... but it was Pippen and Harper who facilitated and got others involved... even if it didnt led to an assists or scoring, they moved the ball and setup others.... they didn't just "wait" for MJ to involve them.... it was almost like Pippen/Harper playing with the bigs and coordinating them and Jordan playing off them and trying to get his points through set up man on man on positions he wanted his defenders to be.... again "system" and coaching


Booker is putting up numbers because he is being used like Harden..... Harden is a much better passer and dribbler than Booker.... thats a HUGE difference, and Harden is surrounded by spot shooters and finishers.... ideal team around him. Booker is surrounded by players that can put the ball down and score themselves through slashing rather than waiting and receiving open looks at the perimeter
