I say good for Magic. This was probably the best decision he has made as POBO. I was expecting his ouster to be a long, drawn out and ugly process. Him stepping down is in the best interest of everyone involved.

That said, the timing is terrible and the fact that he didn't even tell his boss before holding a public press conference is pretty **** cowardly.

Magic was definitely part of why Born came to LA. And the cap space was cleared up by magic/Pelinka too. Draft picks were solid also. Magic wasn't the best, but not the worst either.

Not surprised. He was never going to work as anything other than a figure head. Now that the EZ LeBron/second star bail out plan is falling apart, he's getting out of dodge. Also prob underestimated how much LeBron runs his own show.

To be fair, the Lakers are always drama all by themselves themselves. Adding LeBron to that mix was always just going to make things worse.

Magic was a bad judge of talent. Why did he draft Lonzo. Most scouts will tell you, never draft a player who isn't laterally quick, especially at guard!
