He looks totally fine. Just has to mix in some offspeed pitches.

Alright. I'm guessing Counsell is going to the pen?

I was just thinking before that hr he should be taken out after this inning because they pretty much know the fastball is coming with not having control with his secondary pitches. FWIW, he hit on the change-up after that, albeit not good location. I'd still remove him. You have the whole bullpen to work with. They shouldn't be seeing anybody more than once really.

Really should have been guarding hard against the hr w/ 2 outs and nobody on. Earlier he got lucky to not allow a 2-run hr. Thought that was gone for sure off the bat. It's just very deep in that part.

Changeup looks good. Was that the slider he was throwing a foot before the plate to Turner?

I'm not taking my best starting pitcher out after 45 pitches in a must win game over one bad pitch.

No reason to take him out now unless they want a bat up there in a big situation. They're still not squaring up on his FB.

It wasn't one bad pitch. It was at least 2, the ball just didn't end up over the fence or that's 3 runs allowed in 3 innings. And you can see the cracks starting to form. He's been piggybacked to success up until now. Why change the approach?

Wouldn't mind getting Scherzer's pitch count up a bit
Inadequate perception I reckon it's from the Valium

Thames has been pretty all or nothing, but he's supplied all in a lot of big spots this year. Bounceback season for him.

When do you take Braun out since he can barely run?

****, Braun almost overran that.

Good job by Woody. With his AB up, I'm guessing he's done now.

I know he's due up first but I'd try to get one more out of Woodruff.
