I'd give just about anything to get him here, but I just can't see it happening - from both his perspective, and the Portland organization's.

They'll trade McCollum, if anything, as many have already said.

Well they have tried high level role players around him which didn’t work so far. He definitely needs another big time star perhaps even two.

Agreed. That's why we're hearing this kind of stuff today. KAT with a bonafide #1 killer dominating the ball would be super intriguing.

Folk are already doing the most to diminish what the Knicks accomplished this season. Knicks might still have work to do to prove this is a legit desirable destination

You only go after Lillard if a 3rd start like Kawhi commits via free agency. Otherwise...hard pass.

That's an all in hand and one that you should probably do. Randle + Lillard + Kawhi with Thibs at the helm could get you to ECF or Finals. Then it's a roll of the dice.

And what if nobody come here next season 2019 repeat what do you then? Your future is basically Randle Rose RJ Mitch Obi and low first round picks and MLE.

I like seeing talented players on the Knicks I just don’t like overpaying for them, I would rather try to find something in the bargain bin. We got Randle and he became a home grown all-star, I would rather just sign Lonzo who is 23 with upside and would be much cheaper and cost us no assets and hope he breaks out

Yeah…IF you can pull this off, you absolutely have to go for it.

Huge long shot…step 1 was Lillard getting bounced in the first round…let’s get Kawhi booted tonight.

Knicks also have 75 million in cap space, tons of draft picks, and a decent squad..

Would love it to happen, but I ain’t that lucky,

They’ll fire Stotts for a defensive minded coach and maybe swing a big trade. They want Dame to retire there.

Trade Randle, IQ and some picks for Lillard.

WE HERE.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

And cap space for signing FA's and trades. Best position we've been in the last two decades. Good times.

This need for instant contention just makes no sense. No championship since the early 1970s, we can wait a bit longer.

Finally, a healthy direction, with money not tied long term into mediocre talent, and all of our picks... All we need to do is be a healthy, functional franchise and good things will come. It might be when Doncic and Tatum look to move teams, but it will happen now.

Plan A) Go all in with a big 3 that can contend with the likes of the Bucks and Nets
Plan B) Continue accumulating young talent via draft, free agency, and trades

Either option is great!

You won't get Leonard to commit without Lillard..it's pretty simple..so you can't say well it's both or neither, won't work that way..you get lillard first obviously as a way to entice Leonard..

Memba that time when we traded for the best offensive talent of his generation got a wedding toast from the best pg of this gen then proceeded to turn that into one series win over the course of his time here. Let's do that again

obviously depends on portland's plan, if they are blowing it up, IQ +Obi+ 3 first rounders and this years 2nd rounder, would be a good deal for portland..

Return to New York Knicks
