I do expect them to bounce back for this game, despite the Spurs on a hot streak. They will look like they will care about winning this game.

Well, Mitch says his conditioning needs work, so I guess Thibs feels Noel can provide some more energy longer, and Mitch benefits from reduced minutes of a backup.

Of course, the fact that Burks is the starting PG, or that RJ is playing like ass or that Randle isn't playing well don't register.

Good times.
Maybe something happens at the deadline.

yeah. i don't think he can even get in shape now because he hurt his ankle and that stops him from being able to do much when he's not playing/practicing as to not aggravate it. they should have shut him down for 2 weeks right after but noel was hurt too and thibs likes guys to play through injuries if they can. tough it out and all that. and mitch was dumb enough to fall for that.

he was 260 last year i think. 5 pounds didn't rob him of his athleticism. he's injured.

“I wish I could jump right back into it and be who I was before the injury,” Robinson said Tuesday. “It’s cool. I’m going to work and be back to myself.”

“I’m actually getting back to it,” Robinson said. “I’m still strong and I’m still want to get back to myself. I had a lot of extra weight that wasn’t muscle.”

Oftentimes, Robinson wasn’t getting out to the 3-point line.

“Yeah, just be in better shape,” Robinson said of what he didn’t do well.

Thibodeau said Robinson’s lengthy absence took its toll. He was lost in March.

“The conditioning aspect is something that he’s still working on,” Thibodeau said. “There’s been some real good moments and moments that haven’t been as good as we would like, but that could be said for our whole team. There’s been some great games and been some games where we didn’t play well. We have to develop a consistency and we’ve got to concentrate on improvement.

“The fact of the matter is he was out so long. He missed all the summer, missed all the fall basically, got cleared right before we started training camp and even then he couldn’t do the entire practice, so it’s been a work in process.”

Mitch has looked leaner the last few weeks. It’s good to hear he’s down to 265 while retaining most of his strength. He may need to get down another 10-15lbs while getting healthier to truly get his explosiveness back.
