This team with a legit PF could take the East. Sky is the limit if they figure out that 4 spot.

Allow me to introduce to you Derrick Jones Jr.

Hah, DJJ i love, but you know what I mean.

This team with a legit scoring option at the 4 would have so much offensive firepower in the starting lineup.

Issue is if they DO trade for a legit 4 DJJ probably ends up part of the deal to make salaries match.

Did you put Vuc and defense in the same sentence? Jokic having an off night has nothing to do with Vuc trash defense. Jokic just had an off night.

He did play good defense. Maybe you should have watched the game instead of the box score.

Correct . Bradley was great defensively for the non Jokic minutes . Vuc matched up with him great and made him miss lot and down the stretch was actually the defensive sub.

Even though it sounds ridiculous .

I accidentally left scores on and checked the NBA app to see the Bulls up late. So might as well watch. Hadn’t heard about Derozan, and Caruso. Got to see shortly before Zach talked to Ayo on his way out of the game...what a great moment to come in on.

This is unique folks.

You cannot replicate what’s going on right now.

If the Bulls get a chance to add a really good player that fits this mix, you do not hesitate to trade Pat and/or Coby and/or remaining picks. Just like DeNiro and Pacino in that “Heat” scene. You will not hesitate, not for a second, AK!

We are legit looking like the best team in the east right now.

We are playing like it for sure. Honestly, only a healthy Milwaukee scares me in the east.

Disagree, watching Tony Bradley and Vuc on Joker was a world’s difference. Vuc stayed disciplined and Joker barely got any easy shots.

This is my favorite win of the season. Seeing all the young kids play like they did was special man. I mean they was just on full throttle from start to finish with their energy! I can't say this enough, but I love this team!

Right now, we are 7th in ORtg and 5th in DRtg. Impressive.

Edit: now we're 6th in ORtg and 5th in DRtg. Even more impressive.

Ironically KC sounds more like Bane in this BIlly Donovan press conference than Stacy ever has.

Random thoughts:

Jokic has some crazy long arms. Seems like they’re much longer than Vuc. It’s likely one of the reasons he’s so good, it’s so easy for him to make those passes over the tops of guys.

I’m not sure Denver is very good, but they did just beat the Knicks and the Heat. Even if you don’t think they’re good, games like this are easy to lose.

Really liked Ball throughout. Thought he picked up the teams defensive energy on the 1st half in order to keep it close.

Aaron Gordon seems to abuse us whenever I see him. He kept doing this smart thing. 1st guy on the break when Zach was the shooter, and then just pinned Zach down under the hoop. Was pretty annoying, they got at least 3 buckets that way.

3rd quarter was Zach. Really carried the team.

Ayo obviously was the unexpected hero. His role seems to be perfect for him and he stepped up today in his first start. I don’t think he’ll ever be a primary creator or 1sr/2nd/3rd best guy on a team, but I’m also realizing how silly it is to put a ceiling on a rookie that keeps answering the bell when more pressure is put on him. So who knows how good he’ll be.

Really important win, they’ll all feel this way over the next two weeks. Next 2 are gonna be tough, at Cleveland and at Miami.

Gotta start with Ayo who was not great for a rookie, he was great for any NBA player. Passing, Stealing, Finishing, Shooting...NICE!

Zach did a little more than usual, with a super efficient night and 8 dimes.

Ball is monster on defense. We needed his 3's tonight. I would love to see him stop getting caught in the paint and shoot, but ok.

DJJ showed what I've been saying all along. Start this dude at PF. He gives us the rim protection and rebounding we need.

Vuc had an off shooting night, but did a little of everything else to stumble into a 20/10 night with a block and a steal.

We are a better team with Bradley getting those backup C minutes. I'd like to see that stick, with DJJ starting at PF!

The new front office really brought in a whole lot of IQ, athleticism, and “want in more” to the Bulls roster, and it really shows on the court.

Damn, beat me. I was going to modernize and say -

Games like this strike fear into the hearts of Lebron James, and the Los Angeles chapter of the AARP.

Nice win! We "should" win games like this- DEN without Murray and Porter Jr., and being at home. Doesn't mean you will do it, esp. with DeRozan and Caruso sidelined. Was a little worried after Q1, but they really turned it on after that. This is how great teams play- they find ways to win without all their pieces, and they have that reserve of talent that can be called upon when needed. Lonzo tonight really pitched in with the scoring.
